Glad to hear you enjoyed your holidays. I went to my mum's house on Christmas day with my sister and her family then went to a party on new year's eve, which was fun. wink
Got a nice watch, and some money which is always nice. mrgreen

So, how are you feeling, are you all ready for your big life changing event? sweatdrop

D'you know I'm not sure *starts to work it out* I was still in school, It's about ten years! gonk Yeah I suppose it does get better. The first Christmas after dad died, mum couldn't face doing dinner so we all went out to a pub and it was awful, we never did that again. When someone close dies, somehow their absence leaves a massive gap and brings a kind of melancholy feeling to family events, like Christmas and they are never the same again. Ooh hark at me, I sound like Dylan Thomas or something. lmao rofl

I think it's funny how Americans call University 'school' we consider school to be sixth form and no further then it's college or University. Congratulations on finishing 'school' I hope you get the grades you want. Master of Divinity? Oh Lord! I'd better watch myself *does the sign of the cross and genuflects*
Couldn't you be a trail blazer and change the theology of the UMC from the inside?

Will you have the time and the energy to do all these ambitious things when the baby comes? I should think being easy to please would make life easier...sadly I'm not, I'm a proper miserable sod at times. burning_eyes emo

Sorry to hear about your husband's mum, give him my condolences. Mum dying is not something I really want to think about. rolleyes

I'd forgotten that your dad was a minister. They are very active people. Not sure what you mean about the time distance thing...I live within walking distance of my mum's house and my sister and her family live even nearer! sweatdrop

I thought you would have planned it all out to the last detail, where you were going to visit, what you were going to do and a time scale...I'm a bit disappointed. twisted lol

It's funny because someone else asked me this question not long ago.

Hmm, I suppose you should visit the places that interest you. Everyone goes to London to look at Buckingham palace, the tower of London, Parliament, the Thames, Covent Garden etc. But there is some beautiful scenery in the UK too. Stone Henge is always interesting, the Yorkshire Dales are very picturesque, the Lake District, Wales (a bit rustic for me lol) and of course as your husband says Scotland is a lovely place and you might even see the Loch Ness monster! eek

What can I say, I must be a mummy's boy! blaugh
I guess it's different if you still have both parents, when my dad was alive I didn't visit mum as much. rolleyes

You must have an itinerary for what you want to see. so where are you planning to visit in the UK?
