~~~The poem from my fav quote~~~
HOLLOW EYES AND INSANITY
Hollow eyes,
gaunt and mad,
defeated and broken,
and so, so sad.
She looks at you,
she cries silently,
she longs for some comfort,
why can’t you see?
Why don’t her friends,
hold her tight?
why don’t her parents,
try not to fight?
Why doesn’t anyone,
offer a hand,
some hope and help,
allow her to stand?
But no, she is pushed,
shoved down again,
shunned and ignored,
hurt and in pain.
Her face so pale,
grim and white,
once so pretty,
now unnaturally tight.
Her arms try to shield,
her too thin frame,
her cuts and bruises,
come from her shame.
She exists with no reason,
no light in the dark,
so she goes and inflicts,
yet another raw mark.
Burns, bruises, welts and slashes,
cutting, grazed and more,
the prize that comes from her pain,
the skin now red and raw.
Her hands bleed again,
cut open, split and flowing,
she smiles grimly, as she ponders,
just where her life is going?
She will soon be dead,
that’s known for sure,
this pain and grief,
no more, please, no more!
She has her scars,
her wounds as well,
those times she told,
her friends she ‘fell’.
Down the stairs,
on the way to school,
on the gravel,
around the pool.
But the signs are there,
but people don’t see,
they don’t care because,
that would be.
Too hard to care,
for a broken girl,
with no stability,
her life a whirl.
A little life,
goes each day,
she dies some more,
each time they say.
“How are you?”
“What’s going down?”
it makes her feel,
like such a clown!
They laugh and play,
as she dies,
their so called ‘friend’
falls,before their eyes.
But like everyone else,
in this b***h of a place,
no-one is free,
from pain or disgrace.
Everyone has a past,
a side you never see,
a mask worn everyday,
hides who they could be.
Everyone has a tale to tell,
of heartbreak, loss and pain,
everyone has the time they fell,
beyond recognition and name.
Most pull through,
and win the fight,
most are strong,
most are light.
But the poor fools, that can’t,
that will never make the grade,
what will these poor fools do,
or do they merely fade?
If you ignore,
do they just go,
but this indifference,
makes them sink so low.
No, she won't,
just fade away,
she will change the world,
and so she may.
“For you sicken me,
this world of mine,
and I when leave,
I will not pine!”
You see her get,
the knife she hid,
hold it to the light,
dare she kid?
She places the blade,
on the skin of her wrist,
she squeezed it tight,
in her shaking fist.
She draws it across,
and smiles so grim,
the hot blood runs,
the light grows dim.
She sits and stares,
at her running blood,
as it flows away,
in a throbbing flood.
How did it come,
so far, so fast,
why did that girl,
silence at last?
A single tear,
slid down her cheek,
to the river red,
it’s future bleak.
It joins the surge,
of blood flowing away,
no more will it,
have it’s way.
You see her fall,
as the blood still flows,
her skin so pale,
more blood still goes.
Finally the bright red flood,
comes to a sickening halt,
guilt comes, for you are the reason her blood,
flowed, it is all your fault.
Now her eyes are,
glazed and blank,
her red hair mattered,
and sickly rank.
Her hands are stained,
from her very own blood,
her clothes are soaked,
from the gory flood.
Finally she could weep,
her blood had finally cried,
all the bloody tears she shed,
on the night she so sadly died.
People simply,
shake their head,
and say “poor girl”
“she’s better off dead”.
But did they know,
they could have halted,
stopped the depression,
twice they faulted.
But do they care?
of course they don’t!
for love and help,
they simply wont!
So now you see,
how apathy and greed,
killed that girl,
her words please heed.
I beg you listen,
for it is all true,
why her soul took flight,
into the night it flew.
That little girl died,
from simple rejection,
still we don't stay the flood,
of it's selfish infection.
We push all away,
and cause them to be,
dolls, puppets, toys,
sin of humanity.
And that is why,
they choose to die.
That is why,
people still cry.
For the only thing,
that girl could see,
was just how cold,
the world can be.
The only thing,
that they could see,
was hollow eyes,
and insanity.
