If it's happening on I.E. as well, my last suggestion would be to unequip everything, save your avatar, then literally to log out and log back into Gaia.
Maybe it'll correct itself. Otherwise, I'd restart my whole computer and hope for the past. That's all I've got. Hope your situation gets fixed soon. Good luck ^^;

Firefox is currently at 16.0.1, maybe try upgrading? Because I can see your avatar fine. Usually when I see the header and only the text "My Avatar" shows up, it's just a glitch saying that I didn't save my avatar properly. But if you can't see anyone else's, I'm not sure.
Try clearing your cache again and rather than just closing the window, actually go to the Firefox menu and click Quit Firefox instead (or ctrl Q), just to make sure you really closed it. It also wouldn't hurt to update your Flash if you haven't in a while.
