There is nothing new under the sun
Wordcraft is a powerful magic, character a potent spell, all of which I explore here for my own purposes, secretive and benign.
One glance was all it took
She gave me the Innsmouth look
Sometimes my words are sharp and cutting, often without me even realizing it. If you were on the business end of some retort and somehow came here to complain or leave a nasty remark or whatever, by all means -- enunciate your displeasure; I'm not here to make friends.
"Solitude is the kiln of creation."
I used to post in the OP&L forum, now I never go in there at all. I still love poetry, but I work full-time as a writer now so I don't have the energy for vanity threads. I post some in my journal, so comment if you like, but be advised whole entries are subject to random deletion. I am chaotic that way.
"My poetry is very controversial..." rolleyes
Like many of you, I come from the American suburban wasteland, what
James Howard Kunstler calls the "greatest misallocation of resources in human history."
Sprawling on the fringes of the city
In geometric order, an insulated border
In between the bright lights and the far unlit unknown
Growing up it all seems so one-sided
Opinions all provided
The future pre-decided
Detached and subdivided
Suburbia is a blight, consumerism is a pernicious idealogical disease, and mass media is the seductive siren, a Babel and ado about nothing which is only fitting for a nihilistic, authophagous cultural cult of despair.
"Before Me there were no created things;
Only Eternity, and eternal I endure;
Abandon all hope, all ye who enter here."
I escape: to Baghdad-by-the-Bay; to my virtualities; to the inner there, for there is nothing out there.

Wait.
Did we ever even like each other?
I regard your words as something to always be read with eager eyes, though I can't remember if it's because I respect you or feel terrified that you might notice me.
Remind me if you ever existed, please?
Thanks.
Sincerely,
~Dakk~
