Yea me too, but I just accepted it when they made the announcement that Flynn was gone and we now have the star people running the cash shop. You can turn them off at least.

Its just something they implemented to make it harder to scam people with items. The sparkles mark "premium items" like the monthly collectibles and evolving items. Other than that...absolutely no reason whatsoever other than to be annoying.
