Dieuan finished powederign her nose and went to stand in front of the full length mirror of her dressing room. "Well, ready as I'll ever be, right Mochi?" Her tiny puppy yipped happily, wagging his tail. Dieuan then headed out of her room and towards the stage, where she made a glorious entrance, amid loud applause. "Thank you for coming, ladies and gentlemen, and children too, of course! Tonight I will be performing without my assistant, because I made him disappear and rather like the peace and quiet." There was light laughter from the audience, which made her smile. She took off her hat, letting her thick hair fall gorgeously to frame her face. The magician set down her hat on the little table, with the opening down. "Who here likes soft fuzzy things? I know I do. But my parents never let me have pets, so I worked on this little trick so they wouldn't catch on." She counted out loud while tapping the hat with her wand. "One, two, three!" On three, she picked the hat up, and there was little Mochi, sitting cutely, who barked at the audience. Much applause and "awww" noises followed. Dieuan smiled, tonight was going to be a good night. Dieuan smiled as she left the stage, tipping her hat slightly to the side. Her little pup, Mochi, followed her, looking quite happy as his small tail wagged behind him. The young lady was a professional magician, which meant she actually knew real magic, contrary to apprentice magicians who only knew how to do tricks and illusions. This was why she had to wear her face mask, so she would not be recognized. Mochi hadn't much gained anything since she had reached full Magician level, but he did eat better now, as her income was greater, performing for dukes and prime ministers and presidents all around the world. Her ruffled skirt had in fact been a gift from the Chancelor of Fasowir, made by lace-worms, which were much rare than silk-worms. Her thick curls bounced around her head beautifully, accenting her beauty, even though she was masked. She had been asked after her performance if she could assist the local police, as there had been a kidnapped child recently. And no kidnapper stood a chance against her magic skill, or Mochi's nose, so she was confident she'd find the child in time for her evening show, which was to be presented in another country, where she heard that the natives were rich in black diamonds and black pearls.
