I can get by without my glasses if I really really had to, like at conventions but otherwise I prefer to have them on because I feel like I'm missing a limb xD;

Omg same xd gosh, we really are alike!
I have the worst resting b face at work sweatdrop If I'm staring, I’m usually just concentrating on what someone's saying, not trying to be intense or anything.
And my tone can come off sarcastic, but I’m always joking. I think the serious face doesn’t help sweatdrop Over time I’ve just learned to be a little quieter sometimes, just so things don’t get misunderstood.

I see! I don’t really wear hats, but I do wear glasses all the time (and suffer horribly without them at conventions because I’m basically blind sweatdrop ) But hey, the things we do for cosplay emotion_c8 I'm honestly really excited to style my hair. Aw, thank you. It’s been a bit of a struggle, to be honest. Online friendships are hard in a way people don’t always realise. One day I was talking to him like normal, and the next his sister reached out to let me know he was gone. I was the first person she contacted, and I had to let the mod team know. That part was really hard, especially since Lanzer and Mav knew each other in real life. I really feel for Lanzer sad

You’re not prying at all! Mav hosted Dev Meats, and we co-owned the Dev Meats Discord together. Before he passed, I was actually planning to return as a forum assistant once my hiatus ended. I was aiming for the end of November, but things changed. While he was away on his trip, he reached out to me to help host, and he never came back. Since then, I’ve been 'hosting' (I still dont like to say that tbh, I just am keeping up their tradition and keeping things as smoothly as I can because I know Mav would still want people to come to a place he and JK worked hard on)

Dev Meats is short for Developer Meet-ups, where Gaia devs, especially the zOMG team, would host and answer questions, and Lanzer started joining too. Before Mav, there was JK, the original Dev Meats host, who sadly passed away from cancer. Mav stepping in made sense since they were both devs.

Now it feels strange, because there isn’t really a dev hosting anymore, just forum assistants. I don’t ever want to replace Mav, and that’s not how I see it at all. There are talks about having two people share the role so no one burns out, and some of the regulars have put my name forward alongside another user. It just makes me really sad. I never imagined we’d be here, or that Mav would be gone sad

Even though Sailor Moon must seem like my fav, shes actually tied with Jupiter, I had planned to cosplay her somewhere down the track, but a really good friend of mine passed away (you may have seen the staff notices about Mavdoc) but Sailor Jupiter was his fav, so I'm doing it in honour of him 3nodding
Jupiter resonates with me personally too, I was always her in our friend group at high school because I had brown hair and I was taller than my friends xd I have lots of other favs but this one is calling me the most 3nodding also I cant wait to not be wearing a wig! wig headaches are the worst!

Yes I was! I was a forum assistant for about 4 years, May was when I took a hiatus from Gaia and returned around October. I'm looking to do it again but theres a few factors I'm waiting to happen before I decide what to do

Yeah! There are days where I just dont know what to equip so I leave my avatar alone, I also help host dev meats every Friday which has a theme for that day, so you might see my avatar dressed as the theme (I often post each week in my status since most of my friends list are regulars that attend) it's fun and Lanzer attends too emotion_yatta
I quite like my current avatar so I may just leave it alone for a few days xd

XD I actually asked Lanzer if theres a way we could save like a default base (so if you use the eyes, save it, then anytime you hit reset it will go to that setting) instead of the starter base, that way we dont have to always equip the same items each time we want to make a new avatar whee I need to remind him about that, also the equip tab in avatar rather than searching pages of items for the current things we wear rather looking through pages of it (if that make sense, I ramble a lot sweatdrop )

Oh! I spray painted these hair balls for my Sailor Jupiter cosplay (her hair tie thingys lol)

I think I need another glossy coat on them as the spray paint is a matte finish and they still look matte confused but thats such a small detail that I don't think anyone will actually notice xd

A lot of my avatars are mostly cosplay based tbh, I was on my other account Sailor Moon, which was nice, but I started to want to do my own avatar than characters all the time and get a bit of identiy for myself than people just seeing me as 'Sailor Moon' (I've been mistaken for a NPC when I was Gaia staff sweatdrop )
So Moonchu is a rather newish switch for me, even though the account was made in 2006, I never really used it until the last year, it's been actually really fun creating all these different styles as I was so used to only certain hairs for one character, but now it's completely endless! I've left my other main just as is, I havent changed the avatar in a wee while now sweatdrop

I live in New Zealand xd March is when the next convention in my city is so I did some cosplay prep this weekend (finally) I had been putting it off since Oct-Nov sweatdrop I needed to spray paint some things but the weather here has been really crappy (It's summer here, but we are lacking in hot days emo ) it's mostly raining and when its sunny I've been working, so I really needed to get this done lol

Exactly that!! I like to dress my avatar in things that are super cute (and wouldn't suit me irl haha) but same, I just use the same face and just dress up whenever I want! biggrin Same! It's still a very popular colour scheme all these years and it never gets old, lots of choice for items then back then which is really nice!

Aw thank you!!! I don't like overly cluttered avatars tbh, I like to see what my avatar is wearing, ya know? Even the most simplest items are just as good 3nodding

That's fair, I only cosplay during one time of the year here and then thats it, unless I travel to another city but that costs money crying (cosplay is expensive, the one I had been working on for a few years would comfortably sit around the $3000 emotion_ghost ) but thats over a few years of changing and upgrading bits on it

Same!!! Avatar builder is so mind numbing for me I zone out and just make whatever new items come out or a colour scheme (usually Amaranth xd )
