Mhm, there a lot of shops that are active in the art forums, have you checked that out? Or maybe you did, lol.
I don't like visiting old shops since their slots are always full, but I do subscribe to some just in case there's a free slot.
But I mostly creep around new shops that has only 1O - 3O post count, but I'm also picky so I check every one of them that suits my taste.
And it's an advantage for me since I'm the first - third poster that gets me a higher chance of getting picked.
They still do consider your avi as "to their liking" kind of vibe, if you know what I mean. But yeah, check new shops and you might get lucky. <33
