I mean I guess you at least got more information on the place you'd work if you get/take the job
Awww thank you!! I usually either find an item I really like and build from that or I find a color scheme that I really like and start collecting a bunch of stuff from it lol
Eww I hate job interviews gonk
Not too much really, just the same old same old. Enjoying my "summer break" by working and doing some preemptive studying/research for classes I'm taking in the fall lol
That's fine, I don't really remember where it was going either lol, I think we were just talking about the criminal justice system and how it relates to victims
Yeah, IPV is starting to be used more often in the criminal legal system but they still predominately use DV
Yeah, that makes sense! I usually don't like straight cuts at the ends either, but if you have shorter hair there's not a whole lot of options lol.
NO WAY, REALLY??? So she's going to Cali then?
Me and my family would go every other year to Disney Land, and we are trying to plan a trip together to go next year when Star Wars Land opens in the park since me and my dad are slightly obsessed with Star Wars lol. I have two friends who got accepted but they're both going to Disney World in Florida since 1) we live closer to Disney Land than Disney World, and 2) it's easier to get accepted in Florida than Cali since Disney World is bigger and needs more people.
If you ever get the chance to go to either park I'd recommend it! Apparently the best time to go is during the Superbowl since there aren't very many people lol. I really want to go to Disney Land around Christmas time because they change some rides and the park's decorations around holidays. Like I've been during their Halloween celebration and it's like a totally different experience!
I like the white chocolate the best, but I completely forgot about the yogurt ones! I don't remember if I've ever had them or not though lol.
I like autobiographies/biographies/historical fiction and non-fiction too! I have one book (I think it's called the Red Badge of Courage) that's about the civil war but I don't think the characters in it were actual people but idk, it's been awhile since I've read it.
Yeah that's what I remember being told in my victimology class, and I definitely think it was a good move to try and change DV to IPV.
Once again, that's something my victimology class really hit hard on. Like the CJ system isn't built for victims, it's built for criminals. The victims are very rarely taken into account within the CJ system, but that is something that people are trying to change. There's a lot of stuff in the CJ system that needs to be changed, and a vast majority of people who work in it want to do something, but most of the time it's hopeless unless a politician decides something needs to be changed. It's really sad tbh. Like one thing that really needs to be changed imo is how victims are questioned. A lot of the times victims are interrogated immediately after the event is reported, and if the event is reported within 2 days of it occurring, the memories for victims can be a bit jumbled and fuzzy since it usually takes your brain 2 days to fully process something traumatic. Like officers involved in shootings are given 2 days before questioning, but victims typically aren't given that luxury. Plus I think officers need more training in how to talk to people who are victims so that when they do need to ask them questions they avoid being accusatory towards them. Idk there's so much I could say about things that need to change in the CJ system but I don't want to write you a whole essay in this comment lol.
AWWW ANA! YOU'RE SO PRETTY!! And your outfit in the picture? AMAZING! GORGEOUS! STUNNING~
Omg if you find that picture let me know!
I think your hair looks great in the picture you sent, has it grown much since then? I usually get my hair cut by someone who apparently knows my mom somehow, but I still don't know how lol. How do you think you want to cut your hair? Or do you even know? lol
Thank you! It's grown a bit since then but I think I want to cut it to be about the same length next time I cut it.
Yeah I don't think I'd trust a mattress that was "borrowed" for any reason. That's the real kicker though, she didn't kick her out, she had to sell her lease and move out because of some crap the landlord did, I can't remember specifically what it was though. On the bright side she got accepted to the Disney College Program so she's moving to Florida for this upcoming Fall semester so she doesn't have to deal with this crap for a bit lol.
My go to is usually Wendy's fries in a frosty, but my younger sister likes to dip McDonald's fries in some of their McFlurries. Oh man, I remember my mom making peanut butter and honey sandwiches all the time when I was younger! They are sooo good! Yeah I know they make chocolate covered chips but I haven't been able to find any so I've been forced to make my own lol. Do you have a preference for chocolate covered pretzels? Like do you prefer the white chocolate, dark chocolate, or milk chocolate ones more?
It's going to be awhile before you're going to be able to read any other books if you're going to want to read all the lord of the rings books lol! I looked it up and the alchemist sounds interesting though! So do you prefer books that are more fantasy related? Looking at the books I have, I really like dystopian/utopian books that have political and social science elements to them.
I always thought screenprinting sounded fun, they use to have a class in my highschool and my older sister took it, but I think they got rid of it by the time I got there.
That sounds interesting! This past semester I took a victimology class and we talked a lot about domestic violence (aren't they trying to get it renamed to Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) or something?) and we had a lot of people from various shelters and other services come and talk to us about what they do. We even did an activity where we were all victims of various forms of DV but only had a limited amount of money. We had options to either stay at a friends house, stay at home, go to a shelter, go to a hotel/motel, or become homeless. We were only able to stay at the shelter for I think 90 days maybe less? before we had to find somewhere else to stay. Needless to say it was very eye-opening to just how difficult it can be for someone who's a victim to leave.
Idk I think I'm a little lost too lmao. Like with the "great minds think alike" comment, or something else? That one was because both our favorite color is green lol

What did she keep talking about? Was she venting pent up frustrations lol
