I have no doubt that it gets awesome. Too many people with similar taste to mine love it, it's too damn popular, and it has too many seemingly awesome characters for it not to eventually. But yeah, that beginning is just... yeah. I'll get through it eventually, though.

Yeah, Otakon tends to eat time. It seems like having an entire weekend would be enough, but it never is. I've recently heard it described as the "best and worst that geekdom has to offer". Seemed appropriate. But I'll definitely be there next year; Katie and Jared are coming down for it. And Brit, of course. I suppose I'm going to have to get around to reading Homestuck at some point. Got started two different times, got bored before it got interesting, and lost my place. That first little bit is just kind of meh.
