Debate is life. To debate is to place one's thoughts before one's equals for scrutiny, and to scrutinize theirs in turn. If people would simply debate instead of violently opposing one another, we would live in Utopia.

Ergo, choices denote responsibility, no matter the circumstances. This means that any body of thought, be it man, council, nation, culture, or society, has responsibility for the choices they make.

While I share the same feelings as Thomas Paine once had, I am unfortunately not much of a patriot, a black sheep, and I'm not as devout as I ought to be.

Take joy in your own progress- while doing nothing of significance may not kill you, can you really call it living? Life is action, activity. Death is stagnation, and entropy. Choose Life- for Death only keeps one promise, and one only- and it is the same promise granted to all born to this world. Life may be long, but it is finite. Do not while it away with meaningless, fruitless ventures. Enrich your life, and in so doing, enrich the lives of those around you. Take the gift of life you were granted and make it something greater than what you had before- let those who have touched your life take pride in having done so.

I say this because arrogance is usually unwarranted, and is ultimately useless.

Fiction, like history, has lessons to offer us- it offers the means to learn things about life without having to go about learning it the hard way.

Race is an outmoded sociopolitical construct. It has no place in today's world. People came up with the idea- it's not a descriptor of the natural state of things.

As far as people are concerned, the only race I accept is Homo sapiens sapiens. If you disagree, I'm more than likely going to think you're confused, closeminded, a racial supremacist/racist, arrogant, a troll, or the like.

Get off your high politically correct (or incorrect, as the case may be) horses and face facts. Genetically speaking, you're not significantly different than me. Stop acting like you are. I'm human, you're human. Period. The notion of "race" has no real basis in fact. So people look different in different places. Well, "white" people in Britain generally look different than "white" people in America. Does it mean that we're talking about two different "races"? No, no it doesn't.

That being said, I'm all for cultural and physical diversity. It's great. variety is the spice of life, and all that good stuff. But none of that has anything to do with "race". The sooner you get that, the better off we'll all be. "Race" is just an excuse to distance oneself from one's fellow man, and should never factor into a person's dealings with another. People should be well aware by now that "separate but equal" is bullshit. We're just people.
