Wow, if they really want free stuff they should check out the charity/quest forum section and giveaways. That's pretty terrible that they have to stoop that low and pretend to want to be a friend just for items, what is the point of messing with someones emotions for pixel items. x.x I really dislike people that use people like that though, I hope you'll stop running into them :/. My issue with making friends is mainly from my social awkwardness/shyness, but I've always been like that so I doubt it'll change anytime soon. XD

whee Your art is so cute! Aww thank you so much, I still have a lot to learn. :/ I'm a noob at coloring too it's so difficult sometimes. Before I started digital art, all I ever drew were graphite sketches, but I'm still new to digital art. The biggest nono is definitely pillow shading(using white for light and black for shadows). I use a lot of desaturated soft colors, I'm still struggling with color theory myself but these might be able to help you:
