Greetings and salutations,
I am Nicholas, but you may simply call me Nick for short. I welcome you to my gaiaonline profile. I must humbly introduce you to moi. I am twenty-four years of age. I am of Chinese-Filipino descent and was raised here in the United States all my life. I have three sisters, two older and one younger. I am the only boy. I reside in Ladera Ranch which is not too far from Irvine if any of you know more of Irvine.
Currently I am studying to be an English teacher and striving to educate the future about the joys of prose and literature. I am also employed at a yogurt place called "Swirlz", which is quite new establishment but has great potential in the future.
I am a hopeless romantic, which means that I would do anything it takes to bring a smile to my queen's face. Waking up in the morning everyday and seeing her sleeping face,knowing it isn't a dream, would be the ultimate happiness.
My hobbies are playing guitar,bass,piano and alto saxophone. I was raised in a rather musically proficient family, which explains the multi-faceted musical experience I acquired. No we are not similar to the Von Trapp family. I also enjoy listening to a wide variety of music influences ranging from Classical to Rock to Jazz. My heroes in music are Toshiya and Die of Dir en grey, hide from X Japan and Kiyoharu from SADS. As you may have noticed I do greatly enjoy listening to Japanese music especially. I find it very unique and appealing in many ways. The fashion is also a plus to me. Music is my anti-drug.
Anime and Manga are also things that I enjoy. My favorite anime at the moment as you can probably tell is D. Gray Man. However, I do enjoy others such as Juuousei, Rurouni Kenshin and Robotech. I also cosplay and enjoy it greatly. It has introduced me to another way of expressing my love for anime and the characters. I hold them dear to my heart always.
Alongside anime and manga, video games have been another staple in my life. Starting with Final Fantasy and most RPGs, I have always loved the challenge and the fun it brings.
Shopping and buying clothes and being in style are also guilty pleasures of mine. My philosophy in life has always been constant, to stay successful and confident, one must be confident in one's image, mentality and outlook on life. Fashion is a big part of my life because it offers me a way to become more confident with myself, something that was absent within 18 years of my life. Yes, it took me that long. I am quite happy with where I am now and what I've become.
Though incomplete at the moment, I am grateful you took the time to peruse this rather long-winded introduction to myself. Hopefully it has enlightened you a bit on my background and my interests. Please do not hesitate to ask me any question regarding myself or other things relating to moi. I will most surely take the time to answer them.
