God.
This is my first year of marching band and today was our first contest. I was as nervous as s**t, but amazingly to my standards performed not that bad. After we did our show and got critiqued, we went to a restaurant less than a block away and ate.
We came back and watched the other bands perform their shows for about four to about five hours until it finally hit 7:30 P.M. They called our band majors to the field along with the others so they can announce the results.
That was the most anxious ten minutes of my life it felt like.

Let's just say, I think I'll be up for a while tonight. God I'm so freaking happy it's unreal!! Now I'll leave and so other things on the Internetz and leave you all.

Oh, and before I go, if you are in a marching band, care to tell me what instrument you play or when was your last contest or such. You don't have to; you already will.
