If you live out in the Middle of nowhere, in the Hills below great mountain ranges , you must be aware of several things. never leave indoor/outdoor pets outside at night, and second, if you go outside at night always bring a weapon with you, like a long sharp pointed stick or a very hard club.

Mountain lions are very sneaky and are very powerful when they attack. You may only get to see their eyes but if you look at it in the light of a flashlight or during daylight, you best prepare for whats going to happen to you. IF you make the wrong step, your life could be over in a matter of minutes or seconds, the puma or Cougar(male or female Mt. Lion) will attack if it sees you at a disadvantage. Be very careful at night.

The nightmares I've been having for awhile have been about nothing but Mt. Lions. Ever since I saw one on the property, I've been so scared to leave the house without a long sharp pointed weapon. Night comes and while I'm in the house, I always hear the cry of a female Mt. lion who has taken residence down into the field on the neighbors property but close to mine. I've been aware of their existence here before but nothing like this.

They are becoming way too common now. Many people have been killed by Mountain lions over the years around here, mainly on hikes or on their own properties.They may be protected by the fish and wildlife authorities, but they are becoming a very grave threat to everyone and to everything that lives up here.
