The prince had been receiving strange tales from the locals, sometimes young girls go missing in the night. Investigations always turned up nothing so far but he had a feeling this may be connected to those reports. Thinking back on those cases only made him more angry as he headed through the northern forest. The sunlight barely filtered past the large trees until he reached a brightly lit clearing, overgrown with wild flowers. A stunning sight of nature's beauty burned into his mind, he had seen this place before but was unsure where or how.

Searching the field for clues took hours. There were flowers trampled showing someone light, probably his young sister, entered the area and sat down in the middle. The person then stood up and rushed deeper into the surrounding woods. Julian found no sign of a struggle or kidnapping, in fact there was nothing that even signified another person was even at the scene. But a strange feeling in his gut told him this wasnt right. His sister wouldn't run away alone like this. There must be more to it and he was going to find out what.

Returning home, Prince Julian worked out a plan in his head. Hopefully whoever did this would still be in the area. He must set a trap to catch the kidnapper. The evidence suggested whoever did it was a skilled woodsman. He couldn't risk hiring men for an ambush if his prey might notice them and flee. The prince would have to do this alone and lure his target in close. Then he could deal with the situation and find out where his sister went.

Back in his room the prince was on edge. He had his servants preparing the tools for his plan but unease plagued his mind wether it would work at all. Reaching in his pocket he gripped the handle of a knife. The blade was old, passed down from fathers in his family to their eldest sons. Touching it brought him comfort in times of stress as if the reassuring hand of his own father was still watching over him. He imagined his father's lost voice whispering to him, "the plan will work just be patient and give it everything you've got." A knock at his door broke the prince's reverie, he knew the preparations were complete.
