A few days later Evelyn makes her way to Riften. The next people on her list to first would be the thieves guild. It had been ages since she had been able to stop in. She makes her way through the hidden grate. The first person to notice was Karliah and she lets out a low gasp. "You had a child.." Evelyn smiles at the elf. "Aye it's one of the reasons I've been away." Karliah was the first to hold the boy as others started to come out to see what was going on. Brynjolf smiles wide when he sees the baby. "I had no idea lass, no wonder you've been gone." Vex just rolls her eyes, not really caring. "We heard you became the new Empress." Evelyn chuckles slightly as Brynjolf takes the boy, making faces. "That's true, I managed to sneak away for a bit. Doubt they'll miss me. So far, from what I've heard things are going just fine.." Delvin was next as he gives her a cheeky smile. "I never though you'd be a parent love." She just shrugs as she smirks at him. "To be fair, I didn't think it was possible." Brynjolf leans over to Artemis. "Planning another one eh?" Artemis glares at the thief. "No." Evelyn giggles softly. "I think one is enough." Brynjolf nods at this, understanding well enough. Taking care of children is hard work. "So what did you name the lad?" "Adrian after my father." Brynjolf looks at her, then the boy. "Good name, I think it suits him."
After a moment she heads into the cistern to visit the other thieves. Of course every just about joins her as the others surround her. Rune smiles warmly. "We heard you became Empress, nothing on you becoming a mum.." Etienne leans in to take a look. She had rescued the man from the Thalmor. He too had been tortured. "Looks like his father." A few eyes turn to Artemis but he just looks the other way. "Don't mind him, he hates it when people focus on him to much. Hell I'm the same way at times." The others get a closer look at the boy, before letting Evelyn take him back. She just smiles as she holds her son. Even after all of this he was still sound asleep. At least he could sleep through people fussing over him. Of course she has to make sure no one tries to give the poor kid gems or anything stolen. she's doing her best to make sure no one spoils the kid, she already has a line of people trying to do so. Catching up is nice with her fellow thieves. Ever since she dealt with Mercer things were only looking up for them. Ever more now after they got back everything he removed from the vault. As it got late she makes her way to Honeyside. The place was always the same as ever. She flops into the nearest chair, holding Adrian close to her. He was slowly starting to fuss. "I think he already misses everyone." She chuckles slightly as she watches Artemis. He just pokes around for something to eat before he sits himself down across from her. there's a light knock at the door and he rises to see Karliah.
Artemis steps to the side to let the elf in. Evelyn looks up and smiles. "Welcome, what brings you to my home?" She digs into her pocket and pulls out a small chain. "I know he's still young, but I would like to gift this." Evelyn blinks and takes a look at the necklace. It was an amulet of articulation. Only a few were allowed to wear one. Evelyn had one, but she left it somewhere and forgot about it. "Where did you get this?" "It once belonged to Gallus...I've held onto it long enough. I think now's a good time to pass it to the next generation." Evelyn smiles at this. "Thank you, I'll be sure to give it to him when he's older. He'll enter that faze where he'll just put everything into his mouth." Karliah chuckles softly at this. "I wish you only the best. I know you will raise him well." She turns and soon leaves, Evelyn looking at the amulet. "Brynjolf gave me one when I became the new leader....now I have no idea where I put it...." She chews her lower lip for a moment. She owns so many saves there's no telling where it might be. She just shrugs as she places it in her pocket for now. After a moment or so she lets out a yawn. Artemis just holds out his arms. "Get some sleep." She blinks at this, but nods, handing over the sleeping babe and makes her way downstairs. She was not about to argue on him looking after the boy so she could sleep. A few minutes pass and he lets out a soft cooing sound, the boy wakes and looks up at him.
Artemis can't help but smirk. At least his eyes were normal. Evelyn's eyes never did never go back to normal. But it didn't change how she saw things so he didn't worry about it. "Now you wake up..." Adrian just yawns and starts to move around a bit. "Hardly a month old and you already have more family then most.." Artemis takes a moment, it was strange to feel, jealous. But her family was now his and he wasn't really sure what to really think of it. Evelyn has no idea how long she stays asleep, but when she wakes, she feels so much better. She turns to see Artemis was next to her. At some point during the night, he had joined her. He had removed his shirt and boots and that was about it. Remaining in his pants. Their son was sound asleep not to far. Seems he was able to handle the kid for awhile before getting tired. She leans over and kisses the side of his head before getting up to take a much needed bath. She removes her robe as she gets into the nice warm water. It feels so good as she sinks into the water. She picks up a small thing of soap and starts to wash her arms and body. As she turns to get her back, she feels a hand. She blinks to see Artemis, only he was able to sneak up on her. She hands over the soap and turns her hack to him. "Thanks, Gods I needed this.." He says nothing as he gently runs his hands over her back. He's a lot more careful now due to her new scars. Though it's almost hard to tell what's new and which ones she's had. His mouth twitches as he tries not to think on it to much. He's just thankful they got to her before anything to serous could happen to her.
"You're quiet." Artemis looks up at her before glancing back down. "You're lucky, to have so many care about you." Her head tilts slightly as she turns fully to him. She wraps her arms around him and holds him close. Much like her, he grew up with no family, but over time she had made her own. He hadn't really been as lucky. "They're your family too now." His body goes stiff but slowly starts to relax in her embrace. She smiles warmly as she again kisses the top of his head. "We're family, a bit of a strange one to be fair..." He smirks slightly as his hands start to roam her body. He doesn't get far until Adrian starts to cry. He grumbles slightly as she can't help but laugh at the look on his face. "Get used to it.." She wraps a drying cloth around herself to go check on the boy. He was hungry, no surprise there as she sits down with him. Artemis always feels slightly strange watching, but he knows she's just doing what all mothers do. But out of respect he just looks the other way as he dries himself. "Where to now?" She leans her head to the side. "I image we'll have to return to Castle Dour at some point. I'm not really sure what's going to happen." He's still looking at the wall as they talk. "You can look now." She shakes her head at him slightly as he just shrugs helplessly. "I'm sure I'll get an earful for leaving the first place. But they'll get over it. But really things are going fine. I feel like I hardly have to do anything anymore. Everything just kind of runs on it's own..." It's just how it felt to her at least. "Give it a few years and they won't even need me anymore."
Lucky for Evelyn, even Tullius had gotten used to her vanishing. Not like they could really stop her, if she wanted to travel she would. He was just glad she could take care of herself. It's hard guarding the new Empress when she wonders off on a whim. Things where quiet however, her plans so far have been working out. Seems everyone was on board on working together to repair the damage that had been done over the years. Evelyn liked staying in Proudspire so she decided to stay there. That and her house had less guards all over the place. Far to many guards for her taste, watching her every move. Sure it was mostly because of the death of the last Emperor. But it was a bit much so home was a safe spot for her. Again not like they could tell her no. It feels nice to be home, it took a few days to get back to Solitude. Though she can't wait to go back to using her own horse rather then that damn wagon. It's so slow and boring. Once home she puts Adrian to bed, a crib gifted to her. He was asleep after being fed and changed. She kisses the top of his tiny head as she makes her way downstairs. She makes her way to the basement and removes her robes and gets into her bath. She still had a bit of baby fat, but that was normal. Honestly it didn't really bother her. She hears a slight sound and turns to see Artemis, she smiles as he joins her. She pulls him close and kisses him lightly. The last few days he seemed to be doing better.
His hands move slowly over her body. His hands resting on her hips as she runs her fingers through his hair. It had been awhile since they had a moment to be intimate. It became hard when her stomach became noticeable. She can't help but smirk as she sits herself on one of the benches. He follows her movements as she wraps her legs around him. She pulls him close and kisses him deeply. He lets out a low moan as he runs his hands over her body. It's changed a bit, but he finds it hardly bothers him. He leans her back slightly as he slowly slides into her. She shivers and lets out a soft moan. Once he was fully inside of her, he breathlessly turns to her. "Are you okay?" He didn't want to hurt her. She smiles as she runs her fingers over him slowly. "I'm fine, it's just been awhile..." He tightens hold on her as he starts a slow pace. He wanted to take his time with her, enjoying this moment. She wraps her arms around him as she moves her body against his. She missed moments like this with him. But at least he understood and gave her space when it became impossible. But they would have some moments together. He tries to hold back, but he's slowly failing at doing so. He slowly starts to pick up the pace, making her pant deeply as she tightens her hold on him. She lets out a loud moan as she hits her climax over him. He quickly follows after her and they both sit in the bath, just holding one another. She nuzzles into his neck and chuckles. "Well nice to know you missed this as much as I did..." He lets out a low sound, but she knew he felt the same way.
They end up spending a good hour together before getting out of the bath. Once dressed she checks on their son. The boy was still sound asleep and she shakes her head slightly. "Good to know he'll sleep through just about anything." Artemis leans his head over. "Give him a few months and we'll be begging him to sleep." He has a fair point, he's still very young so sleep isn't that bad. "Aye, before we know it, he'll be walking and getting into everything." She blinks a bit as she looks around the house a bit. "We might have to teach kiddo not to touch things..." "Won't be that hard..." As far as he sees it, it wont be to much of an issue. They're responsible enough to keep an eye on Adrian. She watches Artemis, he seems, calm when around their son. His body is more relaxed, but he's still putting up the tough guy act. It's kind of cute actually the way he is as she makes her way to the bed. Down time was rare, but they make the best of it. The next day, early in the morning Evelyn makes her way to Castle Dour. There were still a few things she had to take care of. Mostly small stuff to make sure things stayed in order. It wasn't really anything she wasn't used to. Tullius was impressed with how fast she was able to get through it all. She just smiles at him and shrugs. As she worked, she left Adrian with Artemis, not that he minded. He was slowly getting used to having the boy around and was reaching the point of not thinking twice about it.
Evelyn was almost done when someone walks into her office. She looks up slowly to see Erikur. She's not a huge fan of the Nord, he's almost as bad as Nazeem. She lets out a tired sigh, not wanting to deal with this jerk. "What do you want?" He just takes a seat in front of her. "I heard you became Empress." She leans her head on her hand. Her elbow on her desk. "Your point?" "Well someone like you can fund my new business." Her eyes narrow a bit. From what she's heard, he's a 'business man' but has hardly seem him lift a finger. "Do tell." She was hardly interesting in anything this waste of space had to say. However he leans forward, thinking she would be interested. "My idea will make the thieves guild, and you quite wealthy. I only need you to lift the band on slaves. I already have a few in mind..." It takes everything she has to not kill him out right for this. She knows well enough how he treats elves, it's horrible. But this was the icing on the cake for her. She says not a thing as she pulls out her sword, Charon's Claw. Her carrying the blade hadn't changed and Artemis still seems fine with her having it. He quickly becomes rather nervous when she pulls out the sword. "Care to rethink your idea?" He lets out a low gulp, but steals himself against her. "Come now, be reasonable. There's plenty of elves left behind by the Thalmor. They need to be put in their place.." She has to bite her lip from using her Thu'um.
She remains calm, collected as she sits herself up right. "Tell you what." She slides the sword over to him. She smirks a bit as he gives her a confused look. "It's a powerful gift, one I hold dearly..." He seems to take this as a sign and takes the sword. She says nothing as she watches closely. Much like her tormenter his body quickly locks and he starts to panic. "Wha...?" He was cut off as he lets out a scream of pain. The sword hardly considered him worthy and his skin started to flake and burn. He quickly turns into ash and the sword drops to the floor. "Oops...guess there's no deal." She gets up and picks up the blade. She places it back on her side and clears away the ash. She thinks nothing else about him as she makes her way out. She doubts his sister is going to take notice, no one likes the guy. She heads home and smiles warmly when she sees Artemis. He was sitting outside, spending time with their son. "Having fun?" He turns his head slightly. He had his legs against the table, their son laying there as he just holds the boy. "Just keeping an eye on him, not that he'll get into to much trouble.." "Yet, always put in the yet.." She chuckles as she sits next to him. "We may have to look into something..." He rises his brow at her, but given her tone he nods.
