Ok so last night was pretty ok and not much happened but since I had my coffee late I ended u staying up late and listening to the Indian news that my mom always puts on. Apparently there's like a huge protest going on in India and the Jatts (Punjabi farmers) are fighting for their land which the priminister says he's gonna take away and put in control of the government.
As for my stance I've already heard a lot of stories about how the Indian gov treats us Punjabis so not to be bias but I can tell they don't have anything good planned for us as far as payment goes.
The way the land thing would work (according to what I've heard so don't quote me on this) is that the farmers would work like they always do but the government would pay them. This I can see being a problem cuz 1# The Indian Gov could easily (and most likely will) pay the farmers a very very low amount for their efforts and 2# That land belongs to the farmers and was passed down to them for generations by their grandparents and THEIR grandparents ect ect.
Also to talk more on 1#, The farmers need that money to keep their farm, homes and other workers going. The farmers themselves aren't the only ones depending on this money. That's why a lot of other Indian people who aren't Punjabi but ae other Indian races are helping ouy. This is because while some other races may have farms of their own most of them work for Jatt's (Punjabi farmers).
As it turns out Punjabis are the majority of India's farmers. I don't know why that is but I don't see it as a bad thing considering we almost always get bad treatment by our government. Farms are very important to Punjabi people and India knows that and the fact that other people need Punjabi farms to provide them jobs and food shows doesn't make the situation any better.
So yeah there's kinda a massive shitstorm in India and for the 2 of you who are wondering how it is there with the Virus and that whole shitstorm, boy do I have some news for you! Get this: Apparently corona just reached there and died off or some s**t. I'm dead serious idk how exactly but it's like the living conditions were so s**t there that even corona was like "******** this I'm out!" XD
I can just imagine some Punjabi dude being like:
"b***h you call this a Virus I call it Breakfast!"
