Chapter 40:

It took a lot of food and some desert to convince Whis to take her back to Faerûn. She figured it would take awhile to find everyone since chances are, most have decided to go their own way by now. While she had a good idea where most of them might be, she figured she didn't have to find absolutely everyone. So with some plan in mind Beerus just crosses his arms as he looks at what she made. Seems the God liked her stew as he helped himself. "Well, it's nice to see someone around here puts in the effort of making a decent meal..what kind of meat is this?" He gives it a sniff as she turns her head. "Rabbit, don't ask where I got it."

Bulma lets out a low huff as Sara holds out her hands. "I swear I didn't take one from the garden...I swear!!!" She had to back away as the woman started to lean close, glaring at her. Whis just lets out a content sigh as he eats the last of his meal. "This was rather different, but the flavors, just mix in so well with everything, with just enough spice to give it the perfect kick." Sara just stands there, moving her tail slowly. "You people and food...honestly...it's like no one feeds you."

Whis gets up after awhile and smiles. "Alright, one last trip, the Gods in your Universe aren't going to like this though.." She gives him a nervous smile. "Aye we do have a lot don't we, I believe their God of destruction is Talos, he's also the God of storms,..he even has a few temples here and there, but I always try and avoid them, he's not known as a lawful God." Whis knew a few things about where she was from, just not a lot. Her Universe was home to some of the strongest deities ever known. "Well no time like the present..this might take awhile since..I can only guess where some of my friends might be."

Trunks lets out a low sigh, but he figured, if she was gone, he could make plans with Goten on how to make things work at the tournament. He just had to try and be okay with all of this and kisses the top of her head. "Just be careful okay?" "Oh Amn's not that bad, at least with the vampires gone it's a slightly better place!" She giggles as she gives him a hug. "I'll try and make this as quick as I can but it might take me awhile to find everyone I have in mind." She turns and stands by Whis as he once again takes them away.

Whis had never seen a place like Athkatla, unlike West City, the buildings were much smaller, and more close together. It seemed to have just as many people however. She had to tell him to go outside the city because if the Cowled Wizards caught them, they would think he was using magic and she did not want to make another trip to Spellhold. So he gives her something, a small necklace with a blue sapphire in the middle. She looks it over as she slips it on. "If you need me for any reason, just put your hand on it and I'll answer it."

Sara nods and heads in, still remembering the place like the back of her hand. The same folks as always, trying desperately to sell of their wares, the same street thugs that tried to steal a coin or two. If nothing else, the one place that was always a sure win would be the Copper Coronet so she made her way there. She made sure to wear a simple robe, while Athkatla wasn't the most open place for mages, she wouldn't be bothered. To many people knew who she was. She heads for the slums and walks into the large inn.

The place was busy like normal, the usual bar rats in their normal seats, it was like nothing changed in this place. She moves slowly when she heard a familiar voice from the common room. "This is an outrage, you call me here on some notion that there might be vampires still hiding under the graveyard? (These buffoons continue to waste my talent on trivial matters.)" Sara pokes her head in, surprised to see just about everyone she traveled with was in one room. Sid lets out a low sigh. "Look I'm sorry, but I figured maybe...we might find something we missed?"

Edwin lets out a huff as he crossed his arm. He nearly jumps out of his skin as Sara just wraps her arm over his shoulder. "Always were a stick in the mud." Sid smiles as he rushes over, hugging her. "I didn't think you would show up!" Sara gives him a small shrug. "I was passing through, didn't know you guys were up to anything, so what's this about vampires." Sid moves as Anomen steps forward. He was dressed in his finest armor, no doubt from the order. She tried hard not to growl at him.

"Over the past few days, several people have gone missing at the dead of night, the Order didn't think much of it until they turned up with bite marks on their necks." She folds her ears to the side as she too crosses her arms. "Because Gods forbid they actually act on something in a timely manner for a change..." She moved her tail in a slow arch, rather ticked off that the Order continued to be the ever shining example of not giving a damn until people came up dead. "Not honestly what I had in mind on what I wanted to do today, but I might as well."

She blinks, remembering that Whis was outside the city walls, waiting. "Oh wait.." She looks down as she faces the necklace toward her and touches the gem. It takes a moment or two before she saw his face inside. "Yes..let me guess, something came up." She gives him an innocent smile. "I'm so sorry, listen, I need you to pop in under the monastery in the graveyard..think you can do that?" He gives it some thought. "I'll make you more food~" "Oh my it's a deal!" He was gone after that as she looks at her friends. "It's a long story..."
