Chapter 22:

The next day, Bulma had finished the armor Vegeta asked for, even getting one for Sara. She had never seen anything like it, but she found she was able to stretch it out to get it on. There was even a hole for her tail as she got used to the tight spandex. It hugged her body despite how flexible it was. Bulma even made the breastplate but not even she was sure how well it would hold up, so it was up to sara to test it. Vegeta had gotten his own suit and slipped it on. It was the same design as his old suit, but he always found these to work a lot better.

No doubt Trunks was still asleep so he made his way to the gravity room. There was little more he could do for the boy aside from letting him sleep off his experience. He looked up in time to see Sara waltz in as she slipped on the last glove she got. She wasn't used to the boots, but it wasn't to bad as he gives her a nod. "Now tell me girl, what do you know about ki?" She just gives him a blank look. "You might have to start slow, you already lost me."

Vegeta had to take a deep breath as he pinched the bridge of his nose. He wasn't much of a teacher, Trunks had been a natura learner thanks to his blood. He would have to start slow, showing her how to form an energy ball. She moved her tail slowly as she looked at her hands. It looked easy enough, but she moves her fingers slowly. "So how do I separate my magical energy from my spiritual energy?" Vegeta raised his hand, and went silent for a good minute or so. He had no idea as he tapped his foot lightly. "Guess this might take time.."

She moved her tail slowly as she closed her eyes for a bit. After trying for a bit she couldn't seem to figure it out. So for now, Vegeta decided to see how well she fought. She knew the basics of how to defend herself, and even throw a punch, even if it was a bit weak. "Guess I've been neglecting my...physical abilities." She shakes her hand, having punched his chest, it was like punching a wall. "We'll be using the gravity room, perhaps it's a good thing you're already used to training." "Yes sir you bet...sorry." He gives her a shrug as the door closes, she had no idea what she was in for.

It was noon by the time they got out. Her legs were so numb from the training she couldn't move once she sat down. It was, small progress, but Vegeta felt in time she could be just as strong as the others Bulma knew. Vegeta laughs to himself, the girl was already stronger than Yamcha that was for sure. Bulma had made them something to eat and went to go check on Trunks who was slowly starting to feel better. He had remained in bed, to think things over as Bulma sets down some food for him.

Trunks took a moment, before he looked up. "I never asked..but, how did you and dad, end up together?" Bulma feels herself blush as she sits back. "Oh it was...a brief moment, it happened just after he blew up the old model for the gravity room." She holds his hand lightly. "I don't think he had any feelings for me, at the time, he was so focused on being better than Goku at that point." There was no point to lie to the boy, he had been smart enough to know in his younger days, his father had been cold and disinterested in them until years later.

"He didn't know how to care about others, or how to deal with others caring about him..but he learned, in time. Why do you ask hun?" Trunks was unsure as he laid back. "I don't know, never really been in 'love', while I had cared about the ones I dated, it never lasted enough to become anything else." Bulma lets out a low sigh, knowing that feeling all too well. "Oh I know, I didn't date much when I was younger, in fact before Yamcha, most boys I found only liked me for my looks..guess you get that too, as well as the great interest in your money."

"Yeah, the minute they hear my name, it's like fighting off a hoard of crazed birds, trying to get your bread." Bulma laughs at that and gives her son a warm smile. "You'll met someone, these things take time, unless, you already have your eyes on someone." His eyes go wide as he looks up. "Is it that obvious?" Bulma giggles as she pats his hand lightly. "You can't hide much from your mother son, go for it, you never know how things will turn out." He gives it some thought before he nods. "Thanks mom."

Bulma makes her way back to the kitchen as she spotted Vegeta thinking a few things over. There weren't many people he could ask about magic after all, but he was sure that in time she could figure this out. Maybe even learn to fly to keep up with them. After awhile she seemed more than ready to go again, at least she had the fighting spirit. Bulma just shakes her head at them. "Honestly, don't you do anything but train, it's bad enough when you would run off to go train with Beerus." Vegeta crossed his arms at his wife.

"We're warriors, the girl understands how important it is to stay in fighting form." "Aye, I wouldn't be here if I didn't know how to protect myself, then again if I'd stopped getting myself into danger that might help to, but where's the fun in that?" Bulma wasn't sure which one seemed to have the worse influence on who, but it gave her often aloof husband something to do. "Well things here have been peaceful over the last few years," "Aye but things have a way of changing, after all when I had been shipped off to Faerûn I had no idea what I was getting myself into.."

She hadn't gone into great detail in what Faerûn was like, but it had been far different that her home. "Actually the letter I got from the Order just stated there was a iron shortage centered in the Nashkel mines and that was really the only information they gave me...jerks..." She lets out a low growl as she closed her eyes. Vegeta said nothing as Bulma blinks at her. "Wow that does sound underhanded.." "Yeah I'm not a fan of the Order after that mess, they still wanted me to join, gave them a bit fat no..." Bulma couldn't blame her. "So what's this Order you speak of?"

Sara could feel her ears twitch as she let out a low sigh. "The Most Noble Order of the Radiant Heart is an organization mostly for knights, they're the ones that joined me in fighting Diablo, and got in the way so to speak." Bulla was there, hopping up and down, her eyes full of stars. Even Trunks heard a bit since he had managed to pull himself out of bed. He kept his eyes on her as he stayed back and watched.
