Chapter 18:

While the women got to have their own get together Trunks was trying to help Bulla find a costume for Halloween. So far the young girl was having a hard time figuring out what she wanted to wear and Halloween was tomorrow. Still she just couldn't decided as Trunks lets out a low sigh. He had been much the same way, however he would just throw something together and hope for the best. His zombie-pirate costume was still his best idea ever. At some point of going through all the ideas a young girl could think of she just bolts and he was left wondering what she thought of.

With the large amount of stuff Sara had been know to have there was a good chance she could have something Bulla could use that would be different. The adults were still talking, while the subject had shifted Sara found herself to be telling the most stories. She decided to go with more light hearted ones, as rare as those were for her. Amn for the most part was not one of the best examples of not having to deal with so much. However there was one she had that was interesting. "I don't remember how old I was, but it was when I had just decided to go pay a visit to the different shrines scattered around my home land."

She leans back as she tells this one. "So I found the statue dedicated to Hircine, known as the prince of the hunt, made sense for someone like myself to swing by." She was a hunter after all as she continues. "So, like most of the Daedric princes after I made my offer, he gave me a task where if I got what he wanted, I would get an award. He was very dodgy on what I had to kill, he just told me there was a worthy foe in a grove and told me to bring back it's horn." She took a moment as Bulla sits herself down to listen. "So here I am, bow in hand, not knowing what I was going after, found the grove only to run into some minotaurs and thought, oh hey, this must be it and killed them."

"So after I took one of the horns I slowly realized Hircine didn't say anything about there being more than one. I shrugged it off and turned to leave, before I did I heard the soft sounds of hooves behind me and my thought was, oh crap there's more. I was wrong, it was a unicorn, of all things and it slowly hits me, this is what he was talking about. There was no way in hell I was about to harm this thing.." Unicorns were a rare animal, often seen by elves as the spirit of the forest itself. Not even she thought it would be worth it. "So me and my rebellious spirit gave him the horn of the minotaur, told him he didn't actually tell me to kill the unicorn and still got my award, I'm not welcomed back there, but it was worth it."

Bulla sat there, her blue eyes shining with all the innocence a young child could have. "What was it like?" Sara places her hand on her heart. "Oh, words can't describe it, but I did go back to make sure it was okay and, oh it was a lovely sight, fur so pure and white, light red eyes. As long as I kept my weapon at bay she seemed okay with me getting close." Bulma had seen just about everything, but not a real unicorn. "If I had to guess she's still out there in that grove, I made sure no one else would try and harm her." No one said anything, but it was still amazing.

Bulla jumps up, remembering why she was here and smiles. "I wana be something new for Halloween!" Sara tilts her head, remembering someone saying something about it. Bulma just waves her hand. "It's a silly thing, just kids dressing up, asking for candy, it's all for fun." It sounded familiar to something, but she wasn't sure what. "So what can you dress up as?" Chi-chi was the one to answer. "Oh anything you want, some kids dress nice, others can be scary, you name it." Sara rubs her chin as she looks the girl over. "I got an idea for ya, come on kiddo." Bulla smiles as they head in.

Bulma just watches the young girl skip off, wondering what Sara had in mind. For Trunks he didn't have anything major planed. But for his sister he would dress up if she wanted to score more candy, as long as he got the ones he liked. Sometimes he would go to parties, just to relax and have some fun on his own without having to worry about having to watch someone. It was the perfect setup for a certain someone to invite him to a large bash at a local bar. It sounded like a blast, so he figure why the Hell not? He would make Goten come and Sara if she wanted. He could feel himself blush as he thought about how she would look all dressed up.

It wasn't long before Bulla returned, and no one said a thing. Sara had not only gave her some elven chainmail, a buckler, and a short sword, even a circlet that fit her forehead. She tiny thing road in, on a large wolf of all things as Bulla giggles. "I am the beast-tamer, bow before your princess!!" The large wolf just sits there, tail wagging before Bulma finally moved. This thing was huge, three hundred pounds of nothing but fur and muscle. "S-sara, is that you?" The large wolf nods as Bulla just rocks back and forth.

Vegeta sees this, and almost went in to save Bulla, but soon saw there was nothing to worry about. Bulma was, slowly getting used to this. "Are you okay with this?" Sara nods again, she didn't seem all that bothered by any of this as Bulma takes this time to get a better look. Aside from her size, she looked just like any other wolf Bulma had seen out in the wild. Sara's fur was just as dark as her hair and her eyes remained the same as well. The only down side to all this, she wouldn't be able to shift back until she got her clothes back.

The only thing Bulla cared about was how much candy she would get with this as she jumps down. Even sitting she was bigger than the child and even licks Bulla's face which makes her giggle. Vegeta takes a closer look. "That's real." He points to the sword as Bulla holds it. "I promised to keep it in it's....sheath while trick-or-treating..that's what it was called right?" Again the wolf nods, unable to speak. Bulla giggles and holds onto her neck. "She's soft, can we keep her?" "Bulla she's not a pet!" Bulma glares at her child, but Sara just lays down and Bulla wiggles under the mass of fur.
