Insane stories of a McDonald's employee
Just some stuff that's happened in the last few years I've been working. As well as other things
Magic and Dragons
Chapter 12:

Vegeta returned to his room, took a shower and dried himself, not really bothering to cover himself as he returned to the main part of the bedroom. Bulma has seen everything the man had to offer, so he no longer had any reason to hide himself from her. Still as his dark gaze lingered on her, the deeper part of his mind still couldn't help but wonder why she had put up with him for so long. He had never harmed her at least physically, but for so many years he had been cold and indifferent to her. He knew on some level, Bulma understood in some small way. He wasn't the touchy feely type.

Still it took him years to finally understand just how important she was to him. The man still had his pride after all and he was no expert on these sort of things by any means. He watched her work, already trying to think of how to improve the armor. It never really ceased to amaze him just how smart she was. She not only repaired his ship, but she made the gravity room, as well as newer models of armor, just for him. She asked so little of him as he makes his way over and joins her.

She was so deep in thought, she didn't notice until he pulled her tablet away from her. Bulma blinks as she turns to her husband. "What are you....?" She didn't get to finish as he pulls her in and kisses her. Again, he was no expert on showing her how he felt, at least with words. He always believed deep down actions spoke louder then useless words, and that's how Bulla was born. Bulma feels her face burn slightly as he says nothing for a second and lays back. "That was...what was that for?"

It was so rare, he didn't normally kiss her unless it was followed by some sex, which she had no complaints about. But he just seemed to back away, she was almost left speechless. Vegeta lets out a huff as he crosses his arms. While he could admit he had often been a poor lover as well as a husband, he would never push her away, not in a million years. He was still a Saiyan prince after all. He just tries to look insulted, it wasn't working. "Don't question it woman, I don't always need a reason..." She wasn't going to push it as she kisses his cheek. "I love you too." She takes back her tablet and goes back to work.

The rest of the night passed quietly. Trunks never did go to bed as he remained awake to listen to the different stories Sara had about her home. Cyrodiil, by the sounds of it, always had somewhere to go, or see. She even told him she thought about getting her own boat so she could go explore Skyrim, a large island that laid to the north. That trip derailed when she was asked to go figure out the iron shortage in the Sword Coast. She didn't say much of her time there but Trunks let her tell him what she wanted, on her own time. Tonight, she decides to tell him about her first encounter with a dragon.

It was the early hours of the morning as she told him how her friends went into a old forgotten temple. The place was once a place of worship for a long forgotten sun God that feel under the power of shadow over time. Before they could face the source of the darkness, they had to get pass a large shadow dragon. They had been gifted a wardstone to keep the creature from seeing them, that did not do much to still the fear she felt looking at the thing. "It was so huge, it took up much of the room, it couldn't see us, but my legs, I don't think I've shaken so much..."

Her ears flick as she continued. "We debated if we should save it for later, but we feared that once we killed the shade Lord it would figure out it was free and make a run for it, so we decided to kill it. Mind you, none of us had dealt with a dragon so we sat there for an hour, trying to figure out the best way to kill it." She lets out a low laugh. "So, I came up with the grand idea of just letting me take care of it..." She holds up her hands as she keeps going. "No not fight it, I had a better, dumber idea.."

"When I became an arch-mage for the mages guild I was allowed to learn more powerful magic, one of them being called 'Finger-of-the-Mountain'. Now I know it sounds lame, but, what it is, it creates a chain of electricity, a lightning bolt basically and what it does is when it hits something, it build momentum, so when it hits something else it just keeps getting stronger and stronger...so I used that, in a small room, with only a sleeping dragon inside, I ended up toasting it." Trunks starts laughing as he almost falls over. "Oh my gosh...you didn't..."

She gives him a slow nod. "Have to be honest, toasted dragon is not bad, my friends thought I was nuts until I talked Sid into trying it, he liked it." Trunks had to wipe his eyes from laughing so much. "What kind of guy was he?" "Oh, he was quiet when I first met him, I could tell he wasn't really used to the life of being an adventurer, but as time passed he got used to it, still a very quiet guy though." "So you just made friends with everyone you traveled with?" "Just about." She blinks as she looks up, her face lights up as she stands. "Come on."

He blinks as he grabs his hand and leads him outside. She finds the perfect spot just as the early morning sun starts to rise. "It's one of the best things about sleeping outside, you get to see this, every time." Trunks watches as the night sky turns to a light pink and soon a thousand colors seem to paint the sky. He didn't normally take the time to watch the sun rise, but he had to admit, he could see why she enjoyed it. He just stood there in silence as they watched a new day start before them.
