Insane stories of a McDonald's employee
Just some stuff that's happened in the last few years I've been working. As well as other things
Finished Botw (spoilers)
So I just finished Breath of the Wild last night, and I have no idea how to feel about it. On the one hand, it was such a nice change of pace from the other Zelda games. I didn't miss getting the slingshot, only to never use it again. I didn't mind looking for other weapons to use, other than the Master Sword. I didn't mind the open world feel and going wherever I wanted without the game telling me I couldn't unless I get a the right item for it. However....I did not like the whole, hey go find 120 shrines to get the hero's outfit! Not only that, but you have to choose between full stamina, or full hearts, which is stupid. I also didn't mind weapons breaking, or your shields. It kind of kept you on your toes on how to deal with enemies.

However I'm not paying 12$ for the DLC, to get hard mode. >-> You can made the game harder yourself, by not completing the Divine Beast quest when you face Ganon. If you do finish the Divine Beast quest, the fight against Ganon is...ridiculously easy, like I'm not joking, Twilight Princess gave me a better fight than this. And there's a glitch at the final stage where you can use the fish hook to distract Ganon. It's kind of funny. But yeah, it just felt to easy and the 'secret' ending just didn't feel worth all the hassle.

It doesn't explain, well anything, other than, oh Ganon has given up on reincarnation and now he's this giant uncontrollable monster, go kill it! I think the one thing that bugged me, is what the hell happened to the Tri-Force? How did Zelda get all three pieces, why doesn't Link have the Tri-Force of courage? It never explains any of this...what little story they give you is through 'memories', and even then, there's not much to it.

Which is another problem, there's no connection between you and the 'champions' you have to rescue. Yeah it tells you through flash backs you're friends with these people, but you really don't spend a lot of time exploring just how close you were to them so there's no real since of....urgency to go save them. It's more of a, meh fine I'll go do a thing. It would have been, far more interesting to play through the hundred years before Ganon knocked you out to short of get a better feeling of how you really connect with everything.

I feel like I missed something, so I'm going to finish Skyward Sword, because out of all the Zelda games I have, I still need to finish it. I know the two games aren't connected, but I really feel like I'm missing something here, story wise. So all in all, did I enjoy Breath of the Wild? Yes, I'm not saying it's a bad game, by any means, it's not Spirit Tracks bad, nothing gets worse than that on my list.

It's....up there, it's above Ocarina of Time, love that game, hate having to back track constantly. Did I enjoy Shrine hunting.....no, God no. >-> I wish they fixed that, the radar only helps so much before you have no idea where it is, and it's hiding far from where you were. All in all, would I'd play it again, maybe somewhere down the road but for now I'm going to finally finish Skyward Sword. 3nodding
