I think I'll talk a bit about Princess Fionn/Lisa (Pending, since I changed most of the others' names back to normal).

Growing up for four brothers can change a gal. Princesses are expected to learn how to sew, cook, clean, and basically be the perfect wife for a prince in a far off land some day (which is why the King and Queen even bothered adopting a female). But with the influences of her older brothers, Fionn grew to be anything but that. She loves swordfighting, horseback riding, dragon riding, saving princes, etc. While the Queen wasn't too keen on that (and look where that got her?) the King was more than happy to let Prince Darren teach her the basics of fencing and such.
