So you want to have a kid. Great fill out these forms, pay up to 500K for the next eight-teen years and have a good day. Mind you, this doesn't count saving for collage, doctor bills, insurance, and other things your child is going to need. Raising a kid now, is a lot harder then it was hell even ten years ago. The system itself, works against parents, worse for single parents. My mom had a hard enough time just to make sure there was food on the table, and pay for rent with little to no help from anyone. You want a kid, well I hope you have a steady job and a spouse willing to work forty hours a day to pay for everything. I'm not against the idea of having kids, I'm against the idea that doing so will put me into debt or worse.
