Being an adult.
It's not easy, the way things work in the US. We push the idea that this is the land of dreams, the reality is far darker then most see. You're lucky to get a job, you're lucky to have a place of your own, a car, something anything that belongs to you. Not everyone has it easy, and it does't help that the media paints this pretty picture that once you hit 18 and go to collage, life can only get better. You want to know why the US is in so much debt, student loans. There's no getting out, it drowns you, you can't even declare bankruptcy to try and pay the insane amount you now owe. Even if you can pay for it, there's no sure way of knowing the job you're working towards getting will even hire you, even with experience. So how do you do it, how do you survive a drowning economy? Don't live outside your means, don't buy things, you know you have no money for. Set a budget for yourself, it's not easy, but knowing where you stand will help you in the long run. It wont get any easier as time goes on, it will get harder to get even the simplest of jobs. Start small, aim small, and maybe you'll get lucky.
