Dragon Age - Desire Demons |

I don’t know why there are people who find the idea of a male Desire Demon ridiculous. It’s not like it’s far-fetch or impossible.
Desire demons use the yearnings of the victims – lust, wealth, power – to their advantage. Their abilities to affect the mind allows them to assume disguises and even alter the environment to their purposes.
Every time we’ve seen a Desire Demon they were always in a female form. It’s not too much to ask to see a Desire Demon take on a male form in order to tempt its’ victims. After all, desire is a concept, it doesn’t have a gender. It would make sense that Desire Demons can alter their forms to whatever appeals to their victims. My straight female Hawke wouldn’t be tempted by a Desire Demon in a female form. Nor would those that have male Hawkes that are gay.
Desire Demons remind me of Succubus/Incubus. Succubus being the female demon and Incubus being the male version. They are demons that appears in dreams and takes the form of a woman or man in order to seduce their victim, usually through sexual activity. It has became generally accepted that incubi and succubi were the same demon, able to switch between male and female forms.
This doesn’t have to apply to just Desire Demons, but possibly each type of demon in Dragon Age.
