I figure if anyone else was looking for the same thing, it would be easier if I posted it on here too. This is good to have if you're working on a story that takes place in Ancient Egypt. So here’s a list of songs that are Egyptian or have an Egyptian sound to them. Hopefully, they will set the mood for your writing and inspire you.
Marco Polo - Loreena McKennitt Mystic’s Dream - Loreena McKennitt Desert Rose - Sting Forever May Not Be Long Enough - Live Sahara Oasis - Zumba Fitness: Belly Dance Tales of the Sand - Myrath Ah Ya Zain - Mohammed El-Bakkar Eyes Like Yours - Shakira Of The Sleep Of Ishtar - Karl Sanders Slaves For Life - Amaseffer Sahra Saidi - Gamal Gommaa Aziza - Hossam Ramzy Bora Bora - Arash At the Gates of the Citadel - Hossam Ramzy & Phil Thornton Immortal Egypt - Hossam Ramzy & Phil Thornton Agape - Dead Can Dead The Feeling Begins - The Last Temptation of Christ Soundtrack (Peter Gabriel) Sandstorm - The Last Temptation of Christ Soundtrack (Peter Gabriel) The Chosen - Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem Soundtrack Egypt Ambience - Tomb Raider: Anniversary’ Soundtrack Egyptica - Nocturnal Rites
And The Mummy and The Mummy Returns soundtracks are prefect. Another perfect soundtrack is from Arcana, called Le Serpent Rouge. There’s also Nile, which is a death-metal band that focus on Egyptian Mythology. I don't particular like it but maybe someone else will like it?
Lastly, Phil Thornton & Hossam Ramzy’s three albums “Eternal Egypt”, “Immortal Egypt” and “Enchanted Egypt” are great too!
