I'm going to rant about a game today! Today's game is Paper Mario: Sticker Star!
This is a great game, let me start by saying that. Now that I have I can say that it's a very lousy game compared to the first two three Paper Mario(s).
In the first Paper Mario they gave us companions, usually friendly versions of common enemies, and turn based systems. It was great! Plot was ok, Bowser trying to take over the Mushroom Kingdom.
The second one was the best. It had a more unique story, with tons of new baddies, and powers, oh it was great!
The third one was okay, the story was kind of exciting, but lacked some things.
Then Sticker Star came out and i was so excited! And man, what a let down it was! The story was dull, the fight system was junky, and their weren't any companions to call upon, which was always one of my most favorite parts! There was also a vast lack of NPCs, which also kept the other Paper Mario's interesting. There were no real side quests except trying to fill a museum with stickers, and really what was the point of that? Though you theoretically go in any order you wished, you really couldn't.
What I'm saying is that it just doesn't feel like a Paper Mario game. Just a Mario game.
