Long live anime!
Baking Bread and Dream avi
Hello! I'm here to talk about a new manga that I've been reading lately, and possibly what I was up to during my looong absence from Gaia. Well, first thing's first, Yakitate!! Japan.

Yakitate!! Japan is about a boy named Kazuma Azuma who wants to bake the number one bread of Japan called Ja-pan. Ja-pan is a play on words because "pan' means bread in Japanese. So put with "ja" and you got a wierd play for "Ja-pan". I know it's wierd. But anyways, Kazuma goes to Tokyo to study how to bake bread and discovers that he has what master chef's call "Rising Sun" hands. It's where your hands are quite warm and Imean really warm, and good for he;ping the bread dough to fermentate (rise while baking). Initially, the temperature of your hands are much lower than your body temperature, which is why I guess it's rare to have "Rising Sun" hands. This series is quite funny and drawn well.

Besides reading Yakitate!! Japan, I've been doing a lot of things lately. One of them is cleaning up my room, which is a huge mess right now. And the other is playing video games and reading actual books.

The one series I've read lately is a Samurai detective series written by a great author called Laura Joh Rowland. Her series is about a detective named Sano Ichiro who is a samurai living in the mid 1600's-early 1700's. He solves mysteries while fighting off the political strife that was in Japan during that time period. It is a very absorbing book. From the first book, Shinju, all the way to the rescent book, The Cloud Pavillion, I was fascinated by it all. It took me at least three months to read through the whole series, except for two books that I couldn't find anywhere.

I also read the Golden Compass series which was much better than the movie, but I still haven't finished third book though.

I started watching Bleach too. Not much to say there except that it's slowy growing on me.

But I also watched the first season of xxHolic and it was awesome. I loved the interaction between the two main characters Yuuko and the boy (can't remember his name right now).

There was also Kurau Phantom Memory. Another awesome anime. A girl recieves magical powers from a strange golden light called the Rynax during one of her father's experiments that goes wrong and she then becomes chased by the government and a bunch of scientists. She becomes an agent for some kind of secret servic-like people.

And as for the games I've been playing, well, I've played Onimusha 3: Demon Siege. I found the disc again and beat it within two days, and I've played Final Fantasy X. I bought a new copy to replace my scratched up copy, and I'm close to the end on that one. I've also been playing Soul Silver and Pokemon Explorers of Time. I beat the story mode.

But now I think I'll end this entry before everyone gets bored and falls asleep. Oh and I also beat Twiight Princess. Bye everyone!
