honestly you have good advice but i like to encourage artist because discouraging is definetly a lead to artist failure so please take into consideration encouraging artist and not discouraging them and you will notice that your critism will be looked at with much more enthusiasm to fix the problem you critised and therefore giving the proper motivation to even want to improve and then causing them to improve , understand. i just don't like what you said for me to not encourage him sorry but i have to be honest i don't like when i see people writing nothing but really hard critisism when all they say is it's horrible or something like it's just plain bad because in my view that's just not helping there self esteem it's bringing it down and you should at least look at the facts like how good it can be for the cercumstances like how long they did it for and how long theyve been a artist and you can see its good for a beginner and stuff but to compare everything to or expect artist who are just beginnging to be as good as the people who did this there whole life isnt a good way to judge a beginner , you should judge them by normal begginner art, and give them advanced advice so they can progress fast but when you say this looks bad because this and you can do this to make it look good , tah's helping them solve the problem and know how to fix it , not just getting them to know its bad but not know how to fix it why i's bad to oothers it's not my style and i think it's more helpful to encourage and motivate while giving advise on what they can improve on , understand? . i also think that you shouldnt tell people but not human with swords or any other weapons.. you're not ready for that, your figure drawing skill is far too weak because it's like your limting his capability, why not just let him try and start with swords if he likes that, i dont see a problem , what makes you think everyone should start with anatomy? people can start with whatever art they want and should be able to because to me every artist gets inspiraton to draw something and whatever that may be , they should do it because they can use that inspiration to keep them drawing more and more better in that certain style of drawing. i spoke the truth when i said wow if that is really 10 mins on the dot that takes talent from seeing how most artist take hours even days to finish a drawing so keep it up and you got good time. ih ope this makes sense to you Helaine-chan and that you'll respect my views and beliefs. thank you
lol i still can't understand how you think that's bad but i guess it's because your pickier than me about art like from seeing the great best art that's out there but i dont think like that i just view it as good because think this , some people can only draw a stick man but that's okay they just dont have the talent in art, but when i see others drawing more than that stick man i can view it as good in it's little ways i guess it's just the way i can view art and it's beauty and not just saying "it has to be this perfect, for it to be beautiful or okay,understand my point?it can be better always but still doesnt mean it isnt good to a certain degree ....i dont know how to explain my thoughts to you but i hope you appreciate my trying to lol i guess im taking a risk myself of having my views percecuted but that's ok efveeryone has there different views i respect all just dont like discouragement
also i just noticed a simpler way to say the way i look at art and commenting it, i look at both the good and the bad in it so in other words i not only look at whats wrong in it but whats good in it , i like your positive comment here
btw I think your camera shot is good enough.. at least it's not too dark... perhaps you need to crop the picture. do you have image editing software?
this is uplifting to give a encouraging thougth to mind because noyone likes to feel their art completely sucks or is horrible ...put youself in the artist shoes and see how you comment them then.so just comment both the good and bad and i think its the best way to go,and people will appreciate it more.
