It's been a long while. I've been having the worst aritsts block of all time. It's been about 6 months since i've painted a half-decent painting and i'm worried. But I keep drawing away in my sketchbook, I find i'm shying away from realism in favor of my illustration. Half because I want to work on my portfolio for concept design, and half because I feel the need to escape from the real world. I never thought i'd still be in retail at 25 years old; goes to show what I know, I suppose. I don't know, i've been so depressed lately with my lot in life. Sometimes I don't think I have reason to be depressed at all, and sometimes I feel like i'm being crushed under the weight of my own ineptitude as an artist and as a human being.
