Excited for the day is finally mine -
Pumps of blood through each inch on my soul -
Is this it?
Have I achieved greatness?
Alas they are far now -
Dust clouds my vision -
The sound of the crowd roars behind them -
Roars like angry lions locked in an unbreakable den.
The sun heats our powerful strides -
The sand quick under our feet -
Mother nature has our lives now -
Is this really worth it?
