This is a poem Kiah wrote that I absolutely love but she doesn't want me to post. Therefore, me being me, I posted it against her will xD
Broken hearted
And all alone
The girl cries out
"Oh, what have I done?"
A tear rolls down
Her soft, brittle cheek
As she sits on the floor
Her head on her knees
Pain and lies
Fog up her life
Yet she walks and talks
Like everything is alright
Bruises cover her arms
And tears fill her eyes
She knows of nothing wrong
That she has done
They all see
But none ask
Or care enough to know
Who's behind that mask
Only one loves enough
To ignore the charade
And go deep enough to see
Behind those pale blue eyes
He knows her best
And he's where she feels at home
With him by her side
She's no longer alone
Bleeding and hurting one night
She calls out
And he's by her side
To wipe away her tears
"Don't cry child of mine,"
He whispers in her ear
"Peace will come in due time."
He coos to soothe her fears
"How can I be calm
When all I do is hurt?"
She screams
Her cries muffled by her tears
She bursts out of the room
And through the front door
Into the welcoming arms
Of the frigid rain
She weeps
And falls to her knees
Blood cascading down her arms
Not realizing she's in the street
Bright lights wash out her face
The pain will be forgotten tonight
As the paramedics arrive
Their sirens just a distant humming as she takes flight
In a new light
Her eyes shine bright
A happy look on her face
She's in a better place
He places a gentle arm around her shoulders
Holding her tight
And like a whistling wind he murmurs to her
"See, everything is alright."
For the first time in a while
A smiled on her face
As they lace fingers
And step towards love's embrace
And place she can finally call home.
