Well, I'm sure any writer has had the this feeling. A feeling of directionlessness (if that's a word). Specifically the feeling is about that of a story idea I have and although I have multiple ideas that I've been able to interweave nicely and create what I hope to be an original world I have no direction at the halfway mark and it leaves me with the idea that if I could bounce ideas off someone it might help get me back on my horse. I have no doubt that groups for this purpose exist, but to kick this rare strain of writer's block a more one-on-one atmosphere is needed I think and for that to happen on the internet most likely won't happen. Here in lies the root of the problem. The anonymity that the internet provides can't be there then and it takes a great deal more courage to voice ideas in reality than online. Once I've built up enough courage I'll need to find someone that I respect and trust so the conversation cna be serious. If all this can be done then I might be able to move forward with something which I think might be even novel length with more plot twists than a ship's rigging.
