I am surprised by how much Spanish I have retained from highschool xD
It make sme wonder if I should have taken it in my senior year as well O;
Maybe if I had actually LEARNED anything in PSanish class in my junior year instead of watching a bunch of movies and making food then maybe I would have...maybe...Nah Probably not. xD Though I do regret not being able to have taught the silly elementary schoolers spanish -- I would've confused them by throwing in Japanese words xDD
Not that they would have known better of course rolleyes
The reason being that I've thought and realized about how much Spanish I remember is because I've been forced to use my rusty second language in conversation with a guy from El Salvador ( What exactly do they call people from there? ._. I mean like if yer from America you're American....Is it liek El Salvadorian? D8 )
whose english is poor and her prefers to not use it at all xD so that leaves me to pick up the slack
but since I haven't been studying it or using it for that matter for well over two years most of our conversations are him saying something and me being like "...Que significa -insert unknown word here-?" DDDD8
Or I say something and he corrects me but I don't always pick up on that xD So I just kinda smile and go yeah....Because when you're confused you should always smile and nod your head and pretend you understood then run away ;D
I've also realized through all this that I can't really speak Spanish anymore xDD (Sorry Abby I know you love hearing me speak spanish because for some God only knows Reason you think it soudns cute xD) I can really only understand it in writing...But I have to do a lot of guessing because the Hispanic peoples like to mispell their words like we Americans do when we chat to one another online 8D hooray!
I am just glad that Spanish is mostly a phoentic language xD I say mostly cause they have the funky double L sounding like a y xD and all that good stuff....Oh and the H not really existing in it's true form, instead they have the J and the G sometimes doing all the work for it xD
