In this section there are some interesting facts that a Conan fan ought to know about, if you're a new fan, or if you want to find out more about the story and characters, do not doubt to read through the facts!
- Ran and Shinichi have the same blood type
- When Conan gets shot, Ran says that she has the same blood type as this kid and donates her blood to him, which means that she is very sure about his real identity
- Shinichi's deduction skill is not as good as his dad's
- Ran is afraid of ghosts and devils
- Ran has suspected Conan's real identity many times, but still she hasn't found out because Conan persuades her everytime
- Conan has returned to Shinichi twice, the first time is when Heiji comes to Tokyo, he gives Conan alcohol to cure his influenza and somehow it affects his body, but he has only solved a case before he turns back again. The second time Haibara gives him the drug which allows him to turn back for 24 hours, he also nearly proposes to Ran
- After the second time as he has returned back to Shinichi, Ran never suspects Conan anymore, because Haibara disguises herself as Conan at the same time as Shinichi re-appears
- Ran's first love is Shinichi, and Shinichi's first love is Ran
- Shinichi's first solved case is when he and Ran are aboard an aeroplane travelling to LA together
- Apart from Mouri Kogoro, Conan also uses Sonoko and Doctor Agasa to solve cases when Kogoro is not there
- The drug which shrunk Conan and Ai Haibara is called APTX-4869
- Haibara is half Japanese and half British
- Haibara's parents were both members of the organisation, and they were both killed in a car accident. After their death, the organisation adopted Haibara and her sister
- Haibara's dad was a mad scientist, he wanted to invent a drug that can turn death into life
- Ran's parents are actually very concerned about each other, but they don't show that to each other
- When Ran was seven, her dad shoots Eri and she is shot in the leg when a man holds her as a hostage. As Ran reminisces the incident, she thinks at first that it was because her dad cannot aim and she thinks it was the reason why her mom has left. She later finds out that her dad shoots because he wants to save the hostage.
- Kogoro retires and becomes a private detective after this incident
- The real reason why Eri leaves Kogoro when Ran was seven is because Kogoro complains how disgusting Eri cooks that night when she has injured. In fact, Eri cooks because she wants to thank him, so she gets very angry as he blames her. In fact, Kogoro shouts at her because he wants Eri to rest, so they've kinda misunderstood each other
-Inspector Megure always wears a hat, he never takes it off even if he is in hospital, because there is a scar on his forehead, he doesn't want to reveal that because he doesn't want people to ask why his wife also has the same scar on the forehead
- Kogoro has also suspected Conan once, because he notices that this kid always gives him hint, but after that case he never suspects him anymore
- Kogoro doesn't admire Shinichi because he thinks Shinichi has taken all his clients
- Ran wants to be forever friends with Sonoko, she doesn't want Sonoko to pay for her as she reckons that money can't substitute for friendship
- Satou San (A policewoman) knows Conan's deduction skill and talent, she is always pleased to discuss the cases with Conan and the detective boys
- There are five people who know Conan's identity, including Doctor Agasa, Conan's mom and dad, Haibara and Heiji
- Vermouth who is a member of the black organisation has also found out Conan and Haibara's identity
- Heiji is competitive, he wants to compete with Conan and see who has the best deduction skill
- In fact, Conan (Shinichi) can solve cases better than Heiji, the first case Conan has won
- But Conan doesn't think that one's deduction is comparable, he tells Heiji his favourite phrase: "There is only one truth", Heiji interprets and after he finds out who Conan is, they become friends
- Heiji finds out Conan's real identity on the Holmes trip, he goes to that trip because he wants to see whether or not Shinichi will be there, he uses Ran to threaten him, you can read about this manga on the net (go to the link page)
- Conan has had a bath with Ran, so if Ran ever finds out who he is, he thinks she will kill him with karate!!!!
- Conan is afraid of Ran's mother because when they were kids, Eri used to blame them for playing outside and returning home late
- Haibara once says to Conan: "I'm 18, an age that matches perfectly with you", it seems that she has some kind of feeling for him. It is not clear whether or not she loves him but she appreciates him a lot
- Somehow Conan and Haibara are close to each other, because they've both shrunk, and there are not many people who Conan can talk to about everything
- As Conan always uses his gadget to make Kogoro sleep and deduce the cases, Kogoro has got a pet name: he is now known as "Sleeping Kogoro"
- Everyone calls Haibara Ai's surname, her friends call her "Haibara san", only Doctor Agasa calls her Ai-kun. I think it is because of her appearance so that everyone is polite to her and respects her more than anybody, and Doctor Agasa lives with her, so he's acting some kind of father roll to her
- Later on Ayumi notices about it and she wants to treat Haibara same as her other mates, so she tries to call her "Ai chan" and Haibara lets her do that
- Conan (Shinichi) is not very close to his parents, since they're overseas, also, because Shinichi has shrunk, his parents can't treat him as their child openly, so there is kinda a big wall between Conan and his parents
- Conan's mom has another identity, the first time she appears she disguises herself as a fat ugly woman, who is meant to be Edogawa Conan's mother - Edogawa Fumiyo
- Both Kogoro and Kisaki are good at Judo, especially Kogoro, who can beat all his friends at university. But he never wins a match, because each time when he plays a match, he always gets too anxious
- Shinichi's (=Conan's) worst subject is Music, because he really can't sing, and he really has poor knowledge about music
- Also, Conan is bad at playing computer/TV games, his friends always laugh at him, so he practices it secretly
- When playing hide-and-seek, Conan is good at being the one who seeks, but bad at hiding, because he says he doesn't like to hide away himself
- Haibara thinks that a betrayer's fate is death and many times she wants to give up her life, but Conan always saves her in time!!!!!
- Kaito Kid is hard to capture, but Conan finds out that he is only a human who uses tricks like a magician, he doesn't have any supernatural power
- In fact, Kaito Kid is also a highschool student who looks exactly the same as Shinichi (only the hairdo is a bit different), and he also has a childhood girl friend who looks the same as Ran...lol(actually kinda except t hair is shorter)
- Ran is good at playing cards and mahjong, she always wins
- Mouri Kogoro doesn't like Conan to disturb him when he investigates the cases, he always hits Conan
- Takagi has heard that Satou San fancies somebody in Group 1, he thinks at first that the man is Megure inspector. Later on Satou San tells him that she regards Megure as her father
- Gin is left-handed
- Gin's favourite car is his Porsche 356A and he usually use it all the time well almost smile
- When Ran is asleep, it is very hard to wake her up
- It is plain that Satou san loves Takagi, in fact, she doesn't realize it until the day She and Shiratori have a bet on whether or not Takagi will be able to make it in time to rescue her, or else Satou has to marry Shiratori. It is in that moment Satou notices how important Takagi is to her,(i watched taht that is soo romantic!)
