Whats life without a couple of problems?

Out on the shore, south of the island; young, Lady Idrabelle sat on top of a black stallion, listening to the ocean waves and letting the air around her cool her body. She had a pale complexion and her innocent hazel eyes that were partly covered with her fringe of raven black hair suggested she was about seventeen years of age, but in reality; she was coming up to be one hundred and thirty four in a short time. She wore a crimson silk dress which had become ruffled by the way she was mounted on her horse. On her back she wore a black cloak with her hood up. She continued to watch the ocean, and kept thinking about everything that was beyond the horizon. All her life she has been a vampire, living in darkness and has never seen the light of day, she has never seen the sun rise or set and so she hasn’t seen the beauty it has to offer. Ever since learning about the outside world; she has grown jealous of those that have ever seen the sun. She glimpsed around at the long sandy beach, one of the few areas on the coast that is not occupied by a dock or harbour, this beach was one of the few unspoilt areas left on the island. She started to ride along the beach, keeping to the bushes and looking towards the ocean as she slowly rode. Her gaze was fixed to the ocean, where she should have really been watching the path ahead, but she knew there was nothing to look out for, no one walked out at night. Thieves and murderers stalked some of the quieter areas, but Idrabelle had little care for such matters. The palace guard taught her how to fight so she was ready for anything.

That is an extract from my seventh book Hallows Eve which features the fictional island of Ankara (which in geographical terms is hidden in the Bermuda Triangle) and this extract we see one of the main antagonists Lady Idrabelle (Or Idri as she prefers to be called) Eventually i will create a page on bebo and you can read the full story as it comes together. I have written chapters 1 and i'm close to finishing chapter 2. But until i finish Dark Horizon nothings being posted on the net.
