The Oko Series - Meet the Oko Chapter One - Introduction
The Oko Series - Meet the Oko
Chapter One - Introduction
This book is the cataloged record of one of the best brilliant Worlds’ Detectives. A Worlds’ Detective a person that goes into many different worlds, also known as dimensions, and does the assignments they have. There are only a few left that are known to anyone and you are lucky enough to get to read what this man’s life was like as we catch him on a assignment. Do be warned, details are graphic and if you don’t like to hear the graphic details, then I advise you don’t even read about Worlds’ Detectives because, even thought there are only a few books about Worlds’ Detectives, they are all graphic; because it is their world an the real world.
A man, in a black trench coat, with an automatic, bolt action, handgun ran through a flea market as he chased a hellhound that had fresh blood on him. The man hollered, “Move, get out of the way!” as he tried to get through the crowd. The crowd tried their best to move out of his way but the hellhound had disappeared into a subway tunnel. The man didn’t take a second to think as he went down through the hole. He landed on the rail tracks as the tail end of the subway cleared the spot.
The man was worried now because he had no clue where the hellhound went and he had to kill it before it killed another innocent person. He looked behind him and saw a second par of tracks that followed the tracks he was on. He sighed some as he brought his gun up with his right hand and a flashlight in his left. He saw nothing, still, and decided to go the opposite way that the subway train had gone.
He covered the area in no time but didn’t see the hellhound until he came to the platforms. He saw the hellhound had gotten on to the platform and was terrifying the civilians. The man didn’t waste any time and climbed right on to the platform. He aimed his gun at the hellhound and fired three of his ten rounds at the hellhound. The shots hit the hellhound spot on but did nothing but upset the hellhound. The hellhound looked back and gave a devilish glare at the man.
It jumped at the man with claws and teeth at the ready. The man fired three more shots at the hellhound but it did nothing to the hellhound. The man fell to the ground as the hellhound landed on him. He dropped his gun and started to wrestle the hellhound for his life. The man gave a disgusting sound, as he smelled the breath of the hellhound. “Oh my god, did anyone tell you that you need a tic-tac or a breath mint?” The man asked with a American accent that was his normal accent.
The hellhound growled and snapped at the face of the man but didn’t reach. He figured that this was a form of anger at the comment that he made. The man gave a second sound of disgust as he continued to smell the breath of the hellhound. “Seriously, how do you expect to find a b***h if you have that rancid breath?” The man asked as he kicked the hellhound off him. It went back a few feet but it allowed the man to get his gun back.
The hellhound got back up on its feet as the man did with the gun in his hand. The hellhound jumped at the man again but this time the man jumped out of the way, with his right now facing the subway. The hellhound slid off the platform but got back on again. “What happened? Landed on something you didn’t like?” The man taunted as the hellhound growled in a low, loud, voice. The civilians went up to the floor right above the two and watched the fight unfolded.
“I have fifty-one pounds on the man in black.” One of the civilians hollered, in an English voice, to the others as the man in black felt his spirits rise at his support.
“I say the rabid dog beats him for those fifty-one pounds.” Another civilian replied as the man in black now felt his spirits drop.
Oh come on, this is my life you are betting on.
The hellhound now attacked, and the man fired three more rounds at the hellhound but got the same result as before. The hellhound missed the man again and this time landed on the rails. The man took a few steps away as he turned to face the rails. He pointed his gun at the hellhound as the hellhound jumped up with its mouth wide open. He fired his last round and hit the inside of the hellhound’s mouth and most likely hit its brain at the same time a subway train hit it head on.
It made no noise and gave way to the idea that it died without pain. The man in black sighed a bit as he turned around to face the crowd that was above him. He looked up at them and then hollered, “Who’s the wise a** that thought that monster would get the best of me?” The subway train doors parted but no one came out. They were to afraid to come out incase the battle wasn’t over. The doors slid close and the subway train rolled away to the next station.
He then heard claws on the tiles of the floor and he looked in the general direction that it came from. He looked on his right and saw the hellhound standing there as if nothing had happen to it. “Ah s**t,” the man moaned as he rolled his head around one circle, “didn’t I kill you already?” The hellhound responded by attacking the man and knocking him up to the floor that the other civilians were on. He went through a glass window and landed on his back. He felt a little bit of pain as a small bit of glass went into his back. It came out right away but the wound remained.
The hellhound jumped through the broken window and started to charge at the man. The man laid there as he saw the monster come at him. He saw his life flash by his eyes as he waited for his death. The hellhound started to leap into the air at the man when a green cube appeared out of nowhere and trapped the hellhound. The man exhaled his held breath as he stood up. He brought his wrist up to his mouth and slid the sleeve away to reveal a watch of some sort.
“Target has been captured but is still alive. Advise protocol and get me out of world via warp gate to battle ship Oko.” The man said into the wrist and just like that, things started to happen. The cube disappeared along with the hellhound inside the cube. All damage was fixed that was done by the fight, and the man in black disappeared into a blue floating ball and then turned into a blue flash.
