Hello there! So, I feel the need to write down some schtuff so I'll remember it, which is the point of having a journal. Yay!
First of all, I've been doing this Bible study, and somehow my brain (okay, maybe a little piece of Divine Inspiration fell from the sky and hit me on the head) linked God to Carrie Underwood! So I love the song "I'll Stand By You" and her version of it, and I pretty much just realized that it could be about God speaking to us! Like, just picture God saying these words to us: "Oh, why you look so sad? Tears are in your eyes; Come on and come to me now. Don't be ashamed to cry Let me see you through 'Cause I've seen the dark side too. When the night falls on you, and you don't know what to do Nothing you confess could make me love you less. I'll stand by you." <3 *sigh* It's a lovely song but it's even lovelier now that I can relate more to it! Also, I was reviewing stuff in my math class today and I just thought I'd relay some information from it: (This is my professor talking)
"Well, finals are coming up. Finals...hmmm...I seem to remember finals as very stressful. In fact, I had a lucky dress that I wore to every final all four years of my college education. Yes...I can even tell you what color it was! It was pink on top with long sleeves and little polka dots, and then it was brown courduroy almost like overalls and a very A-line, empire waist-type style. It was rather cute. It got very wet. I used to have to wait in the rain for the bus to campus with my best friend. He always wore black for finals week. He had this very olive, Mediterranean-type complexion and he always wore black for finals and didn't shave so he was very stuble-y by the end of the week. We were both math majors, but we couldn't study together because I liked to study in silence and he liked to listen to opera when he studied...."
Don't you love it when people give you little memories like that? I do...I like picture people as younger, living life and learning things. Also, in my speech on world hunger, I have a line I was rather (foolishly) proud of: "Don't you think it's a LITTLE bit hard to overthrow an oppressive government when you're too weak to get out of bed because you're STARVING TO DEATH?!" Hmmm.
Coming up next time: The Moses Rap and quotes by my good friend Caitlin Lang. XD
