OK, so i haven't actually got round to much movie reviewing... But hey, I'm doing one now! biggrin For those who have been living under a very, VERY dark rock- The main character in this comedy is played by British funny man Simon Pegg. Pegg made his break in Spaced (A sitcom he created himself) as Tim Bisley. He is most well known however, for his starring role in the hit film- Shaun of the dead, along with his best friend Nick Frost. Now, back to the movie!! Run fat boy run follows the story of Dennis, (Pegg) as he attempts to win back his ex, Libby by running and completing a marathon. Five years previous, Dennis had left pregnant Libby at the alter after getting cold feet. Dennis realises that its now or never if he wants to get Libby back, after Libby's boyfriend Whit, proposes to her. Fun and chaos ensues as Dennis begins training for the marathon with the help of Mr. Goshdashtidar (his Tenant) and good friend Gordan (Dylan Moran). Weeks before, when i found out that RFBR was directed my none other than David Schwimmer, i almost began salivating before a feeling of foreboding washed over me. This film was beginning to sound to good to be true. Lucky for us all, i wasn't! By the first 5 minutes i was crying with laughter and by the end of the film i was out of tissue! The almost cliche ending couldn't even ruin the film for me, however, it did sully it slightly. My favorite part in the whole movie had to be the 2 full-screen shots of Dylan Moran's a! You can really sympathize with Dannis (Pegg) by the end of the film, as soon enough, you begin to see a little bit of yourself in the seemingly pathetic man. This makes the films climax all the more satisfying and leads me the the conclusion that i have to give 'Run Fat Boy Run' 9/10. I suggest that all good movie lovers and those just looking for a laugh get their butts down to the shops and buy this brilliant film right now! WAIT!
