The loud roar of the engine, and the constant talking of a young child service worker were the onlys that kept Sahara Irick from drifting back into her nightmares. This was her the seventh home she's been in since she was twelve and she remember quite clearly what the hairy police officer told her after her last outting.
"This is your last chance. If you get into any trouble, I'll personlly come and put you in my car. Do you understand?" His breath smelt of hot dogs and coffee. She only gave the man a nod before she got into the car with her service worker.
The young child worker, blond haired and apperently new since she was so happy, looked over at Sahara as if waiting for an answer. "Did she just ask me something?" The troubled teen questioned, staring back at the lady with dark brown eyes. "What?" She lifted an eye brow the color of night.
"I said, 'Do you think you'll like the new family?'" She smiled, she looked as if she just had braces taken off.
"Oh yea, sure." Sahara just waved her hand before staring back out of the window. She had no idea what the young women was talking about, but lord knows she didn't want her to repeat it. A soft beep came from her front jeans pocket and she reached in to pull out a black cell phone. "Happy 17th birthday baby! biggrin " It was from her boyfriend. She only grinned, somewhat glad he remember.
