Joshua-Nicholas Cage
Why: Nicholas Cage always has that ‘look’ about him; that hopeless,’ everything will be okay, but somehow it’ll come too late’ look. However, he manages to star in everything from Comedy to Horror films. He’s a very well-rounded person, and I can instantly see him playing Josh.
Marcia-Jodie Foster
Why: I took one look at her and said’ Yes! Marcia!’ She looks nice, and seems to have a soft personality, that would be able to play someone like Marcia.
Viola-Charo
Why: Because there’s no one else so flamboyantly large in the chest.
Chango-Lopez-Rocky Balboa
Why: Because that dude would never give up; He seems like a tough guy,bvut is actually a big softie, and his accent is extremely annoying.
Why: Because there’s no one else so flamboyantly large in the chest.
Anne-Jessica Lange
Why: She’s got the ‘look.’ The nice mom look on the outside, but the ‘I can kick your butt from here to Mobile and back again’ attitude.
Steenie-Austin Amos
Why: Austin is an actual person I know and, when reading Steenie’s description, I instantly thought of. He would be perfect, in build and in mind.
Tarzan-Bobcat
Why: Don’t remember his full name, but he’s a grungy actor that Jason suggested.
Amadeo-Gael Garcia Bernal
Why: He’s an up-and-coming famous Mexican actor that I think would do a fabulous job.
Exilda-Yadhira Garza
Why: If I remember correctly, she is Gael Garcia Bernal’s real wife, so it fits.
Jimbob-Troy Music
Why: Troy Music is another person I instantly thought of while reading this book. Everything, from his demeanor to his attitude, is the same. He’d be a perfect Jimbob-not that that’s a good thing.
Joshua’s father-Gerard Butler
Why: Because he was a damn good Spartan; he’d make an excellent Navy Captain.
Romeo- Keanu Reeves
Why: Romeo seems like a type of person that can be loud and obnoxious one minute, quiet and thoughtful the next. Just look at Keanu Reeves’ movies in chronological succession and I think you’ll agree he’d be perfect for Romeo.
Sheriff- Shaft
Why: Because I thought I’d have a sense of humor here. Who wouldn’t want to see another Shaft flick??
