This year we are doing something that I have never seen done. Our marching band is the top band at my school, the drumline, the pit, and even the guard are all from the symphonic band. This year my BD had the idea that we are going to start the 3rd movement with the guard playing their instruments. It will be fun to see how this plays out and how the judges react. Have you ever done something unique in a show?

I think our show is unique because it was writen for us. We will be the first to perform it for the public before anyone else gets a chance. I think it'll be a really neat thing, but a big let down if it's not done right. We shall see when October rolls around.

well this year our show is gonna be awesome! we start out as question marks on the field and we have this chant going. "who, what, when, where, why, how?" and it's all serious. then we ask a question like "Is the hokey pokey really what it's all about?" and we do all this funny stuff lol it's gonna be great!

Hmmm...
I don't know if we have anything unique about our show yet since we didn't start practices or anything...and my BD didn't say anything special but, our show is being specially written for us. So I guess our show is unique since we're the only ones with that music smile
But a few years ago during our drum solo, some flutes and clarinets switched their instruments with the color guard during this one set and they did a short rifle routine. xp

Our show is unique because one of our students wrote it himself. It sounds amazing! I really like it!

Hmmm.... One reason for me is that it was written for us. :] And there is a lot of chaos in it, good chaos. ;]

Our band is crazy, xD We always-always do at least one dance during the drum feature. Last year we sang. And,also last year, this one trumpet girl plays a solo and the whole band acts surprised, then one of the drummers comes up behind her a starts tapping her shoulder then violently shaking her till she stops, then she chases him. And, before a competition the drummers went out on the field and chanted 'Who's gonna spank the monkey? Were gonna spank the monkey. Who's we? ELHS"

Something that makes our band unique...?
Well...ever since I started marching [last year], we've been using the music made by the same composer and using the same drill director. <333 He used to be apart of The Cavaliers so all of his sets are crazy and fun. x] Also...our band is not made of excessive props or giant stages. We are made for speed and sound. O:
It's unique enough for me.

Well, our show has a full band "crotch grab" at the very end...I guess that's kinda unique. It's a Michael Jackson show. Teehee.

Our show is very unique this year. The show is called Electronica. We have a 2 synth parts and a malletkat, which is an electronic xylophone. Our drill is custom to fit our band and it looks awesome. It's gonna rock (:

A couple years ago we did an MC Escher show, and the colorguard had these massive picture frames to do work with.
This year, we don't have enough percussionists to have a full battery and pit, so they decided to compromise. We don't have a battery, but the pit's out sitting in the middle of the field.

From where I'm around, we're one of the only bands that high-step marches. (Marching 8 to 5) So, I guess that makes us unique.
OH! And we only march Brass instruments. The bells take over the missing Flute parts. That makes our sound louder.

Let's see... One year we had only one guy in pit.
Boy, I bet that was entertaining. (first year is this year, all the randomness has passed...sadly...)
Ah! Our drumline comes up to the front for Oye Como Va... And Mangus is mad that we play that this year, it's his favourite stand tune and he finally gets the (sort of) baritone solo in it. XD
