Hello guys this is my first post here, im sorry if it doesnt belong here ^^;; and im sorry for the long read. I posted this on the smash sticky at gaming discussion and got bashed for it ;_; being too long and worthless.

PS: I know the update is speaking of a story mode for smash, but this is just an idea I got from ok.

Remember this is just an idea I had, in no ways do I believe this will be implemented into the game or anything allright? I know it wont but its a cool Idea IMO nonetheless.

Summary for those who dont like to read long posts


Basically each player is assigned a target. You will have to hunt down the target and defeat it. If your opponent defeats your target you will transform into that purple guy for a minute or so , which is bad. You will have to defend your target from your enemies, defend yourself from the one thats hunting you down. If desperate times calls for desperate measures, destroy your enemies' target.

The one who defeats his target the most wins

Im going to copy and paste what it says.

In this world, trophies fight.

They know nothing but fighting.

Fighting is the sole reason for their existence.

Being turned back into a trophy, being unable to fight, is much like death.

Those are the rules of this world.

But...

When someone...or something...breaks those rules, the world will pay a terrible price...

Afterwards it shows you a picture of what it seems as a new character. Be it a new villain, playable character or something of the sort..

As you may know in the melee game there are different modes, slo mo melee, fast melee, big melee, tiny melee, etc..

Well what if there was something like "Capture your Target Melee"

1st Option

It basically works like this. You start the match, afterwards you are assigned one target (be it your friend or a bot). Each player gets assigned a different target. Remember that when I mean targets I dont mean the melee ones, I mean actual playable characters as your target.

The new update states that this world is for fighting, when you dont accomplish defeating your opponent there are consequences right? Lets say one of the enemies kills your target, you then transform into that purple creature, why is this bad? lets just say he is slow and weak. So you would transform into that creature for a period which you can place on the settings (prefered ad 1 minute transformation IMO)

Goal

So the goal in this game is to not only defeat your target, but to protect it from your opponents. Also if desperate times calls for desperate measures you can go for one of your enemies target so he will transform when you defeat it.

So you will have to fight your target and your enemies which want you. And lets not forget the person who is hunting you down. You may think its a mess but It seems as though it could work, just imagine it.

In this mode you can use stocks and Time

2nd Option

So for those who wish to have this game more simple then this is my second option. The game is still called Capture your Target, but instead of using stocks this would be in time. Instead of having one target for each, there will only be one target the problem is that each minute (or you can change it at settings for how many minutes you wish) the target changes.

Goal

Your goal is to defeat your target before both of your enemies, if you achieve this goal then both of your enemies (excluding your target) transforms into that purple character (since thats the consequence for not defeating your enemy, this is not stated in the smash site this is just my idea)

Also we could make it that the single target has more power or maybe he is the only one able to use items (can be turned on or off) since its pretty unfair 3 against one (unless it changes every minute).

Trust me when I say I've seen way longer reads. Anyways, basically what you're saying is that your hunting down a target tht's trying to get away from you, and so is your opponent. Whomever gets theirs first is winner, right? That sounds like how it would work to me anyways.

its a good idea but i saw the purple guy as the "hunter" rather then the "consequence" that way you would spend the story mode on the run or something just fighting other characters
