Role-Play Instructions ---This role-play is for the students currently enrolled. ---Students will choose a name from the available characters list and then PM there choice to me. Heading of the PM should be House and contain entire character profile. ---The role-play will take place in segments. This means that characters are only allowed to go in designated areas. You won't be allowed to have your character to do anything in any places that has not been cleared. When I or any other senior thinks the time is right, the area will be expanded. ---At random points in time, I or another senior will lock the role-play to post a random plot twist. ---As the role-play progresses I will lock it to offer suggestions and corrections in the students' writing.

Personality: Very much a tomboy. Tristan has always been "one of the guys". She often finds herself on uncommon ground with other females, but she has no trouble telling them off. Even though she gets along with the boys, she has a hard time accepting that any of them would ever see her for the girl she is. Sporty and competitive, she fights for respect and what she believes in.
Background: She comes from a normal, nondescript family. In elementary school, she was always off playing "war" with the boys while the girls played "house". In high school, she tried out for the football team and made it as their star kicker. She went to prom in her father's old suit by herself and managed to have a decent time. Her dream is to become someone worth remembering.

Writing Sample:She reeled from his stinging blow, catching her shoulder on the wall. Nothing had prepared her for it. She could already feel her cheek swelling up, and her shoulder ached terribly. What had made him so mad this time? Her lips didn't dare ask him; the answer didn't matter anyhow. The only thing that mattered was that she had done something to anger him. Her traitorous heart screamed that he was the one in the wrong. He just liked to hit her. In the back of her mind, where she was free but confined, she knew her heart to be true.

Occupation: Gab works at part time job organizing and categorizing books for the library. Also helps other patrons check out books occasionally.
Physical Description: Not much about Gab stands out. He stands at five foot ten inches, has a light tan, and has a lean lithe build to him. His eyes are the color of chocolate and are hardly seen without his frameless glasses. Gab’s hair is the same color as his eyes and is worn in a practical manner. He tends to wear jeans and undecorated t-shirts no matter how warm the weather is. The most unusual thing about Gab is the silver chain that he keeps hidden under his shirt.
Personality: Gab is very soft spoken person who doesn’t try to get anyone’s attention. A man of reason, Gab never does anything without thinking it over at great length, but he is really indecisive. If he comes to a point where he can’t make a decision he will usually flip a coin. His intelligence has made him the targets of bullies, but Gab quickly learned how to outrun them. He is also rather shy around women since they are far too complex for him to understand. If fact since he never seem able to talk around women, he tends to avoid them with little success.
Background: Gab was a single child who grew up with his mother in Centaur City. Gab has always been a quiet shy child in school who tended to run away from his problems than he was to face them. Never really having a social life Gab spent a great deal of his time into his studies. He had problems before with paying his rent, but now has a steady job working at the library. He has very few friends; most have tried to get Gab a date with no success. He moved to Amber since the apartment is cheaper than what other apartment in his area cost. He thinks that moving to Amber will be a new start for him.

Writing Sample: Gab sighed as he walked toward at empty table with a newspaper in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other. Today just wasn’t his day. He had trouble paying last month rent and now he had nowhere else to live. His dark eyes scanned the newspaper’s ads quickly, analyzing each ad carefully. Then as a sudden revelation he noticed one ad in particular. His eyes scanned the ad again, seeing if there was any mistake in what he was reading. Looking for a roommate. Must be quiet, clean and pleasant. Available room in a two bedroom apartment. Utilities and furniture included in rent! Only four hundred and fifty dollars a month! Room available immediately! The offer seemed too good to be true. Maybe it is. He bit down on his knuckle as he mentally weighed the pros and cons.
On one hand, it was half the amount for rent then his other apartment and he could move in now, but on the other hand the apartment could be in worse condition then his old one and his roommate may not be as pleasant sounding as they were on the ad. Gab fished into his pocket and pulled out a silver dollar that his grandfather gave him. His thumb rubbed against the surface of the coin before he flipped it into the air. Heads, I’ll make the call and move in. Tails, I’ll sleep on it and think about it tomorrow. He caught the coin and slapped it against the back of his hand. Slowly he raised his hand to reveal the face of the coin. Heads! Gab smiled to himself as he rushed to the nearest payphone and dialed the number listed in the newspaper. This is the chance to start out new.

Amber can be described as something of a family community though this may not apply to everyone. With its population of roughly three thousand people and boasts its own schools (Amber Middle & High), a shopping center and stores that meet most needs of its residents. To the North and East are Gasden and Centaur City respectively with a colleges, community colleges, two malls each etc both about a two hour drive out of Amber. To the West of Amber are jagged cliffs overlooking the ocean and the South, a thick forests and home to many creatures.
