Maybe a poll on your fav Jewish food? Or Israeli food? (A lot of stuff seen as Jewish food is Eastern European Jewish, while Israeli food is Mediterreanean.)

I've got a couple of really nice Jewish cookbooks - 1000 Jewish Recipes and a holiday one with pictures of what you're supposed to eat on the Jewish holidays. I use the challah receipes from the 1000 recipe book. I need recommendations on things to try. I've tried noodle kugel, and it was too dry (gotta try it again with more cottage cheese and sour cream). I haven't tried any cholent yet, and I want to try some Israeli salads. And, I'd love to try falafel and hummus. Recommendations?
