False. It involves the most physical work, but the French horn is actually the most difficult. If you can play that, then you can play just about any other brass... except for trombone positions.

False!
Trombone is easy unless you have short arms. I agree with invisible french horn is the hardest.
The french horn requires more ombesuhre (spelled that totally wrong) work whereas the trombone is all arm. It has something to do with the size of the mouthpiece and the size of the tubing i think.

Most definitly false. No instrument is "the hardest" to play. It all depends on the person playing it. For one person, a oboe may be the hardest instrument in the world to play, but, to that same person, a french horn may be the easiest thing to play ever. It all just depends on how fast and well you can grasp the instrument.

They usually get a marching-french horn, or a mellophone.

tygermage I have been playing trombone 4 about 2 years now is it true that the music gets really hard and you have to be really fast to play question well, i play the bari sax and sat next to a trombone. our music was pretty much the same (bari music is generally easy) now about jazz music, i'm not so sure sweatdrop but in concert you shouldn't have much trouble if your worried. plus two years is plenty of time to get good.
