By default I'm the new pit section leader. I'm the only one we left (We only had 4 people.) I also am still learning, as in; I joined a year ago, with no experiance, and after some tape on keys I am ok. (Yeah, I still can't sight read, but I'm getting better.) So I'm hopng for lots of freshmen!

That happened to me my sophomore year, sort of, although I wasn't the only one left, there were other people in my same grade. It's rough, but in the long run, you kinda come up on top of the other leaders that get another year to be not-leaders. Im a senior now, and by your third year of being a percussion captain, you learn mind control. It's great!

That just means it's your job to work the hardest- set the example. you don't need experience for that, just passion, which you obvioulsy have.

I just got captain of guard, but all the people are in my grade or higher, so unfortunately, no freshies for me. crying I was so looking forward to bossing them around, too. gonk

not yet. but i am always thinking about it i know i'm going to be the only section leader in my senior year. only cause i am the only person who will to take the position. the other 2 in my class wont even think of it.

a junior this year is going to be section leader. >.<
she is the best by far out of everybody (not including seniors)
cuz most of the people are either freshmen or new to pit.

I just, might be able to be cymbal section leared for o8-09, but ti will depend on if the Band Director will let me, I am, after all, just a freshmon going into sophmore year...

I'm first chair and I had to practice till my wrists and forearms were sore to get there.
But I'm the one that teaches the other percussion n00bs in my section XD So if you do get any freshmen, be a mentor to them.

I'm pit section leader, too. I don't know if it's going to be hard for me or not, but as long as we memorized our music for the show and they have fun, I'm happy. xd
