I think people will be dissapointed they cant use it, especially since items aren't included in tournament play.

Meh.
They probably just used it as a cinematic camera angle.

It's good because it's an item. Tourney players won't have to worry about it breaking competitive play, and casual players have the option of whether they want to use it or not.

It better not be an item. sad I'd cry.
Nothing worse than you wailing on a noob, and then BAM, you get omni-slashed by Link... scream

I think it might. If it does, it would might only stop for a couple seconds. But I could really care less. I personally think having the fight stop for a second and zooming in on Bowser transforming would be pretty cool.

Quote: The Final Smash is a secret skill that can be performed but onceā¦and only after obtaining an item called the Smash Ball, which is a precious item, indeed. Final Smash is an item and, thus, can be turned off and won't be permitted in tournament play. As for it being a movie, no. It'll probably flow smoothly into the move so that players would be given the opportunity to dodge it in any way possible.

Well, it may not disrupt gameplay, because they don't show but two characters. We'll find out sometime down the road for sure. But like it's been stated, you can probably turn the item off if you don't like it.

Are you kidding people? No doubt it's a good thing. Just imagine what the other character's Final Smashes will be! But yeah, you could probably turn it off.

It's an item so you can just turn it off.
Personally, the lack of items is one of the things that makes competitive play boring for me, I can't wait to try the final smashes.
